My Top 5 Favorite Pet Costumes for Halloween

Halloween is just around the corner and you may considering a costume for your dog, cat, or other pet. If you don't have kids, you're probably more likely to dress up your pet. I don't bother dressing up my own dog since I have 2 kids to buy costumes for.

If you're handing out candy on Halloween, what better way to entertain the trick-or-treating kids with an adorably dressed animal? There will be no shortage of ooohs and aaahs from the kiddos and their parents, that's for sure. Maybe even a good laugh will come from dressing up your pooch. These costumes are some of my personal favorites!

1. Katy Perry - This costume is awesome! Especially if you are a Katy Perry fan. It's also original, I mean who else is going to dress their dog up like Katy Perry with a blue wig and cupcake bra this Halloween?

2. Hot Dog - What dachsund could resist dressing up their little devil like a hot dog? The only question is do you prefer mustard or ketchup? This pet costume is a classic.

3. Tuxedo Cat - Cat's don't really take too well to being dressed up for Halloween. A bowtie collar is a sure pleaser, however. Your kitty would look even more handsome with one of these accessories, if that's even possible.

4. Wonder Woman - OK, so I just think this one is super cute. This pet costume is sure to get lots of compliments. Wonder Doggy to the rescue!

5. Hammerhead Shark - Want your pooch to be something a little more ferocious this year? How about a hammerhead shark? This costume is original and cute! Just make sure he doesn't scarf down all the extra candy.

There are so many more great costume ideas for your pet, so get creative and have fun! Be sure to give your friend a treat for wearing the silly costume too. If you want more good pet costume ideas, go check out the Pawsitive Pet Shop.

Remember to keep your pets indoors on Halloween night. There are plenty of hateful people out there that can and will harm your pet. Also, keep all sweets somewhere that your pet can't reach. Remember that chocolate is toxic to dogs.
