Hoo-Ray for Hoo-Rags

Last week, Shiner had the opportunity to review a product that neither of us had ever heard of before -- the Hoo-Rag. What's a Hoo-Rag? Well, it's a multi-purpose bandana for people or even dogs to wear. It's made out of a cotton-polyester blended micro-fiber material that is very lightweight, soft, and stretchy. The nice people who make Hoo-Rags sent some over for me and Shiner to test out.

Shiner's in modeling mode!
The first Hoo-Rag that we tried out was obviously designed with dogs in mind. It's got cute little dog bones all over it as you can see in the picture. I think the colors in this one go well with Shiner's fur. What do you think?

Brown dog bone and paw print Hoo-Rag.
It was easy to put on -- just slip it over her snout and voila! It kind of reminds me of a cute doggy scarf with the way it looks on her. She didn't seem to mind that it was on at all and didn't scratch at it or bother it. The Hoo-Rag also stayed intact when I put it in the wash so it seems to be pretty durable. Shiner gives it a paws-up in fashion, durability, and comfort.

We were also sent another design which is pictured below. It's red and white with the Hoo-Rag logo patterned across it. I was less into this particular design, but that's just my own personal sense of style I guess. While I might be able to see myself wearing one of these as a bandana or headband, I would not have selected this particular pattern for myself. Hoo-Rag has a lot of other really cute patterns and designs available that I could potentially see myself wearing however.

More modeling, this time with the red and white Hoo-Rag.
I decided to give the red and white Hoo-Rag to my mother who was ecstatic. She said she had seen something like these on the show "Survivor" and had always wanted one. She works outside at our family's nursery and is always wearing some sort of bandana, sometimes even over her face to keep the sun away in the summertime. It's a great product for her and she'll be able to put it to some really good use. It also seems like it would be a great product for outdoorsy type people or athletes.

You can see all the ways to wear a Hoo-Rag on the package.
If you're interested in getting one for your pooch or even yourself, you can visit the Hoo-Rag website here and browse all the different colors and patterns they have available. There's a lot!

Disclaimer: I was not compensated for this post. The people at Hoo-Rag sent me some of their products in return for a fair review of their product from me and Shiner. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

  14. I wear bandanas all the time. When I put rollers in my hair to keep them in place, when I go out on the town when my hair is a mess..

The Hoo Rags doesn't seem to drive me crazy. I went on their site, and the print they offer seem to be pretty borring. I can find regular bandanas of all types, and colors for 4 euros near by my place with cherries, zebra prints, skulls, cob webs, dog bone prints (and ect) all over them. The first print that Shiner is wearing is nice. I think it would have been better if the sky blue bones where bigger more noticeable to the eye.

Anyways Shiner is a beautiful pup! Keep up the great work! I like this blog alot!

  15. P.s oh I don't like the fact they put their logos everywhere on the bandana. They should keep the logo on the side or something so it is less noticeable.

    1. I am not a fan of the logo on them either. But if you're like my mom and want functionality over fashion, I think it's OK. I personally don't wear clothes with words on them usually.

  18. Shiner looks fabulous in the scarf! :-D I'm not a bandanna kind of a guy, mostly because they are almost always too big, but I think having one that fits over the head is easier than tying a knot on a pup!

  19. Super cute!!!
Do you think the Hoo-Rag people could make one big enough for me to wrap Waffles Too in? ...I mean, ALL of him???

  22. That Hoo rag is terrific. Now they just need to put something in the Hoo rag to kill fleas. But it is really nice. Have a great day.
