Saturday Photohunt: Knitted

Today's photohunt word is "knitted". I don't really know how to knit and can't think of anything that I own that was knitted, so I unfortunately cannot share a photo that I took myself. But, this word did make me think of something I saw while browsing some blogs the other day. I pinned it to my Guinea Pig board on Pinterest since it's cute.

I was at The Doggie Stylish Blog and saw this DIY Pattern to knit a sweater for your guinea pig. I'm not sure  how many guinea pigs like the idea of wearing a garish (VBP) sweater. I'm sure guinea pigs everywhere are ready to trounce (VBP) their owners for even thinking of taking up knitting.

So I'm curious to know if anyone out there is a knitter. If you are, would you or have you ever knitted anything for your pet?

I am also joining Texas, Savannah, and Jet's Vocabulary Building Project Blog Hop!

    1. I'm not sure how common it is. I don't think I've ever seen a guinea pig wearing any clothes in real life before.

  3. Hmmm, Vocabulary Building Blog Hop. I am interested since learning new new things is never a bad thing.

I wondered about the Guinea Pig sweater, too. But hey, who doesn't appreciate an extra layer when it's cold outside?

  6. That is cute. My Nana tried to teach me to knit years ago, but I didn't have the talent. My sister does and so does my mom. I guess I am missing the gene!

    Have a great Saturday.

  13. I don't knit anymore, but I did when I was younger. Sasha does not like clothes, so even if I made it, she wouldn't wear it. I agree with you, that the guinea pig would probably prefer not to wear a sweater.

    1. Too bad Sasha doesn't like to wear clothes. I don't blame her though, she's got a nice warm and beautiful coat anyways!

  16. I'm not a knitter, but I crochet a jacket for my cat once, when I was little. She didn't liked it at all, maybe she didn't like the colour :D

  17. Long ago I knit a sweater for my sister's 3 month old cat. I was a kid and really proud of it until she put it on her cat and the cat just fell over flat on her side. That was the end of that.

  18. Oh my! It must have taken some time and patience to the human who knitted this little thing!
My human is not knitter (no patience) and we would never allow her to put clothes on us ;-)
Another great pawticipation of yours. Thanks!

  20. Aw, that little guinea pig looks nice and toasty!

My mom knits. She thought about knitting a sweater for me, but I stretched out the knit sweater she bought me so it looks like a sweater dress :) Maybe she will make me one of those little neck warmers though?

  21. My human has no idea how to knit but I sure know how to chew knit wear! *waggy tail*
