A Post Christmas Post

Christmas is now over and we will be moving into a brand new year in a few days. I hope everyone had a nice holiday and enjoyed themselves. We all had a great time down here in Texas opening gifts, playing with new toys, and visiting with family.

Remember this guy - Bear? Yep, I got to hang out with the Shetland Sheepdog crew again over at my family's house. My grandmother loved the Shetland Sheepdog ornament I bought for her from For Love of a Dog Jewelry too.

Bear the Sheltie.

My kids got tons of toys and so I feel like I am stuck in an endless circle of cleaning and organizing right now. Trying to catch up with the rest of the blogging world! I also got some extremely amazing gifts for Christmas.

I received a new phone from my boyfriend, which I love! It's a Samsung Galaxy S4. So, now that I have a new phone I can use Vine. Yay! I have so been wanting to try Vine, but my old phone was too old or something silly. Regardless, I made an account last night and my name on Vine is "Pawsitively Pets". So find me so we can follow each other!

I am really loving the camera on my new Galaxy S4 also. It takes some pretty nice pictures! Selfies are a breeze now!

Selfie with my new phone. Hat and scarf handmade by my grandma. They are so cute!

Speaking of taking pictures, I think the most exciting gift I received was a new camera. It's a DSLR Nikon D3100. I think that's it's full name anyways. It came with two lenses. I'm still learning to use it, but so far I think I've got the simple stuff down. I am in love with it!

My new camera <3

Below are some photos I've taken with it so far.

Nibblet's close up.

Shiner playing outside.

Shiner had a great time on Christmas also. I let her shred one of her Christmas toys on Christmas eve. She thoroughly enjoyed herself.

Now, it's time to prepare for 2014! Are you ready?

  1. You really did have a wonderful Christmas, the new camera looks fantastic.Speedy got lots for christmas as always.we didn't spend much on our selves just a token present as we had the vacation and then having to get the new PC which was an unexpected expense so I guess that was our gift to our selves, and my god is it fast has 2 hard drives one is a SSD which give super fast boot up and it has a normal one for storage.and it was delivered on saturday so we was able to get most things back up and running like the skype so the best present was to be able to chat and see my dad on skype on christmas day and my uncle in holland on christmas eve,Looking forward to the new year but first things Speedy has to pick his winners,xx Rachel

    1. That sounds awesome to me Speedy! My boyfriend has a habit of going overboard sometimes on the presents lol... I did really want the camera and I absolutely love it! He bought it for me because of my blogging and everything. The phone was an unexpected surprise too. A new computer sounds like an excellent gift to me! My father bought one for himself tonight.

I love having my new phone for easy photos when walking, etc., but we also have a good camera like yours (mine is a Pentax) for around the house and special occasions. You'll have lots of fun with that!
