What Is a Pet Owner's Top Pet Health Concern? #WholeBodyHealth

This post is sponsored by Natural Balance and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about Original Ultra Whole Body Health Pet Food, but Pawsitively Pets only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Natural Balance is not responsible for the content of this article.

In September, we asked our readers to take a survey regarding their pets' whole body health. Today, we are sharing the results of the Whole Body Health survey from Natural Balance with you. The infographic shows what pet owners' top pet health concerns are and what areas of pet health are most important to them.

According to the Whole Body Health survey, 97% of pet owners believe that nutrition for pet health and well-being is important. I also took the survey and believe that yes, nutrition is definitely important to a pet's health. 55% of pet owners believe that good nutrition is the most important factor in keeping their pets healthy. No matter what or how you feed your dog or cat, their nutrition should be something that you pay attention to.

Here's a look at the infographic with the final results of the survey.

Out of all the pet health concerns listed on the survey, digestion came in first with 40% of pet parents claiming that this was their top pet health concern. The survey also revealed that most pet parents do not properly care for their pet's teeth like they should. Proper nutrition can help with that too.

Also on the survey, you will notice key points about Natural Balance's Original Ultra Whole Body Health food for dogs and cats. This food is a gluten-free diet with an optimal balance of premium proteins and key nutrients. There are 7 areas of pet health that Original Ultra Whole Body Health supports.

  4. I took the survey and am so happy to see the results. Of particular interest to me is that over half of people don't brush their dog's teeth. I am happy to see that most people understand that nutrition plays a huge role in our pet's health (and I assume they know their own too). Now only if I didn't love ice cream so much.......

    1. It's not too surprising about the teeth brushing thing for me, personally. But then again I've cared for hundreds of pets in the past and that seems to be pretty common among pet owners. And ha! I'm working on my own nutrition right now, but in a different way that most people usually do. Need MORE ice cream in my diet :)

  5. That is a great infographic and just like us humans we have to take care of all aspects of our pets health and happiness. Have a wonderful Wednesday.

  6. For Sheba, it is cancer since she is a golden retriever, and more than one of her littermates have died from it. For Luke, it's digestion, since he has had some minor issues there (probably because he eats everything he can!). For Cricket, I want her muscles and joints to be strong because she's so active. I want her to stay active for as long as she can.

    1. Yes, I think that it definitely changes from pet to pet. For Shiner, mine was heart disease. Simply because she has a heart murmur, which is nothing for now anyways.

  8. Pawsome info! If TW wants to keep her fingers, she won’t mess with my teeth. I keep them clean by biting on her.
