Fresh Dog Breath Is Easy #SmoochUrPooch

Dog smooches are great... when your dog has fresh breath anyways. Bad dog breath is one of the first signs of oral disease too. For a few weeks, we've been discussing dental health for pets and introduced a new daily dental routine for our dog in the process. Our daily dental routine for Shiner includes three products from TropiClean:

In our last dental health post, we discussed the TropiClean Clean Teeth Gel. Today, we're going to share more about the TropiClean Water Additive and how it helps to provide dogs and cats with essential daily oral hygiene care.

The TropiClean Water Additive is so simple to use that anyone can do it. Promise. All you need to do is add a specified amount (we use a cap full) to your pet's drinking dish. As your pet drinks their water throughout the day, the TropiClean natural Water Additive promotes healthy gums and eliminates bad breath for up to 12 hours. Fresh dog breath is as easy that!

Shiner has absolutely no issues drinking from her water bowl when I add the TropiClean Water Additive to her bowl. Her breath is also noticeably fresher afterwards. So that I don't forget to add the TropiClean Water Additive to her drinking water, I always keep the bottle near where her drinking area is.

Why should you be concerned about your pet's dental health? Without proper dental care, 70% of dogs and cats start to show signs of oral disease by the age of 3. Oral disease can eventually lead to tooth loss or cause other serious health problems for your pet. Your pet's dental health is important to their overall health.

That's where TropiClean can help. I feel like Shiner's breath has been so much fresher and her teeth healthier since we started using this TropiClean daily dental routine with her. It's a nice back-up for when I forget to brush her teeth or when she won't allow me to. There is no struggle for me or Shiner with the TropiClean dental health products, and I love that.

From the beginning, TropiClean has been passionate about creating healthy and natural products for pets. They use wholesome ingredients to help your dog live a healthy and playful life. You can keep up with TropiClean on Twitter and Facebook

We want to know! Do you use a dental health water additive in your pet's drinking water?

  4. We like the TropiClean gel very much. But I tried another water additive and Honey would not go near her water. Glad to hear that's not a problem with Shiner.

  5. I'm really bad at making tooth brushing a priority for my pets. I'm trying, and I'm slightly better than a year ago. Something like this would help for in between brushings, since I know most of us hardly every brush our pets' teeth. Or, it would be much better than doing nothing at all. It's nice to have as an option.

    1. That's kind of where I was at too Lindsay. I like having the variety of dental care products around, because if I forget to brush or if I forget one of the 3 there are always the others there to help out.

    1. I am curious to know what cats think of the water additive because I know they can sometimes be a bit more discriminating than many dogs.

  7. We are not very good with brushing Charlie's teeth on a daily basis so I think this would be an amazing add on to her teeth care. Are the ingredients natural? As in could there be any negatives in them ingesting this water additive?

    1. The ingredients are natural, but I would still only give the recommended amount as directed by the label.

  13. Is the same additive safe for dogs and cats, or do they have separate ones? Ours all share the same water dishes so we need something safe for both.

    1. They have a separate product for cats as far as the water additive goes. I'm not sure of the differences between the two products however and if the dog version is also safe to give to cats.

    2. Thanks, Ann! I could have sworn I saw a product safe for both animals, but now I don't remember what it was!
