Doggy Bath Time with Absorbine #WoofPouf

Doggy Bath Time with Absorbine #WoofPouf

Do you have a dog that likes to get stinky and dirty? Shiner enjoys a good roll in the mud or dirt on occasion. She also gets a stinky dog smell every so often. Especially after a trip to the lake when she's been swimming in the water all day long. Not to mention, she's been sprayed by a skunk about 2 or 3 times now.

This post is sponsored by Absorbine® and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about Woof Pouf but Pawsitively Pets only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Absorbine is not responsible for the content of this article.

Today, we are sharing a very cool dog product - the Absorbine® Woof Pouf. I could probably say Woof Pouf all day long, because I may be slightly obsessed with that name. I love it! So what is this Woof Pouf thing anyways?

Absorbine Woof Pouf

You are probably familiar with the bath poufs for humans in stores. They look just like the Woof Poufs pictured in this blog post. The difference is that the Absorbine Woof Pouf contains small soap beads inside of them that are made for dogs. These beads are not plastic, just soap and disintegrate over time and after use. Just like a bar of soap would.

The Absorbine Woof Pouf lasts up to 15 washes for your dog. There are two kinds of Woof Poufs available - the UltraShield Woof Pouf and the ShowSheen Woof Pouf.

Absorbine UltraShield Woof Pouf repels fleas and ticks naturally

The UltraShield Woof Pouf is the green one and it is proven to repel fleas & ticks using a blend of natural herbs and extracts. Because the formula is natural, it's safe to allow your kids to help out with doggy bath time.

Here is a list of some of the ingredients used in the UltraShield Woof Pouf to naturally repel fleas and ticks:

  • Oils of Thyme
  • Cedar
  • Lemongrass
  • Rosemary
  • Citronella
  • Clove
  • Geraniol

Woof Poufs are convenient and would be a great item to take along on camping trips or other places. They are lightweight so you don't need to worry about lugging around big bottles of dog shampoo with you.

Absorbine ShowSheen Woof Pouf makes bath time easy and fights tough odors on dogs!

Also available are ShowSheen Woof Poufs, which are the blue ones. The ShowSheen Woof Poufs work on tough dog odors, even skunk oil! Made with Ordenone, the ShowSheen Woof Pouf doesn't just cover up bad odors but eliminates them.

Our Doggy Bath Time Experience with Absorbine Woof Pouf

I decided to try out the blue Woof Pouf. The blue one is the ShowSheen Woof Pouf for stinky dogs. I showed it to Shiner first, and she kind of thought it was a toy. Shiner is already fairly easy to bathe. I just have to make sure she can't run away from me, because she will!

Taking a Bath with a #WoofPouf

After wetting Shiner with some water, I got our Woof Pouf wet and rubbed it around to lather up the soap beads. Then, I just scrubbed away with the Woof Pouf. It was easy to use, wasn't too much soap, and rinsing was a cinch. Shiner was not so thrilled, but she smelled fresh and clean afterwards.

The scent of the Woof Pouf is pleasant and fresh-smelling. It's a very light scent and not overwhelming. Afterwards, I just hang our Woof Pouf up in the shower and it's ready to use again another day.

We love the Woof Pouf! It's easy to use and affordable. For anyone interested in trying out a Woof Pouf with their dog, here is a link to purchase. There is also a $1 OFF coupon available at this link.

  5. The pouf are such a good idea! Mom hasn't tried ours out yet, thank goodness! At first I thought Shiner was just standing there. Then I saw the leash which is good because it looked like she wanted out of there. Love Dolly

    1. Did you use the green one? I haven't tried it yet, because our fleas have been absent with the hot dry weather, thankfully. The blue one was very mild scented.

  12. Really cool product! We have a dog in our house who shall remain nameless (OK, it's the pug) that HATES the bath. This product could really help to streamline bath time. We are definitely going to check it out. Thanks!

  14. Nice video, and what a good dog! Thanks for mentioning what it smells like--I can't deal with strong scents (asthmatic) and I wondered if it had a strong medicinal odor. It looks so quick and easy, thanks!

  15. I need about a cup of shampoo to get through all Jon Farleigh's fur (that includes what I drop straight down the drain), so I wonder whether those 15 washes would drop down to like 5? :) It does seem really convenient (I hate drippy shampoo, frankly). We have skunks around here (the dogs don't walk without a leash through - no fence - so fingers crossed they don't get into trouble like Shiner), but if they do, I will be looking for the blue pouf at the local pet store!

  16. We have a Woof Pouf, but I haven't tried it yet. I'll have to give it a whirl during Luna's next bath. Love that it uses natural ingredients to deter pests!

  17. Doesn't get into much, but an occasional dingleberry can make a mess...
