This year, we are joining a fun Pet Blogger Blooper Round-Up hosted by The Lazy Pit Bull to showcase some of our blooper photos that just didn't ever make the cut to the blog. Any kind of blogger is welcome to join, and we think this will be a lot of fun! This blog hop takes place on the 2nd Friday of every month.
Shiner refuses to sit or lay down when and where I want her to. And when we finally compromise, she refuses to look at the camera or will try to walk away right when I'm in position for the perfect shot. Also, she has lately been trying to steal some of the products I'm trying to photograph her with.
During our photo shoot for our Trusty Tails Treat Kitchen review, she stole this bag of dog treats from me and made a run for it. She stopped to try and open the bag herself, but I still needed to take pictures of it. I literally had to wrestle her for this bag of treats and was a little out of breath afterwards.
This photo was taken moments before the dog treat theft occurred. |
For Callie's blooper, she may look innocent posing with the pet camera but she was really angry. This photo shoot didn't last very long and I was as fast as possible. Her paw is extended and ready to strike at any moment!
I will cut you, human! |
As for the rats, Jack and Gus, they aren't bad for photos. It's just that they are so small and don't hold still for very long. Photographing small pets requires quick thinking, good lighting, a decent camera, and patience. I just kind of let them run around where ever they want to and try to capture the best moments that I can.
One of the hardest parts about taking pictures of Jack and Gus is trying to capture them when they sleeping together all cute like. As soon as they realize I am there looking at them, they have to bum rush me as fast as possible and then the moment is over.
You want closeup?!?! |
Photo bomb! |
So yea... taking pictures of pets is not always easy. There can be a lot of work behind it, but the challenge is what makes it fun half the time!
Are your pets easy to photograph? Tell us in the comments!
MOL about your naked kid! At least she's comfortable in her own skin, which is more than I can say about most adult humans.
ReplyDeleteOh yes - very much so!
DeleteThat's hilarious! I always wonder how other people get their pets to pose so perfectly when mine always sense when the camera is ready and immedialtely stop doing that cute thing they were just doing.
ReplyDeleteGreat bloopers we can totally understand! Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteMOL! Those gave me the giggles!
ReplyDeletehaha It sounds like the girls in your house just don't want to cooperate! LOL Titan is very photogenic but Zue has a stubborn girl mind of her own. I can't get her to hardly ever look at the camera! Love your bloopers! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteMOL Planned foto shoots? Hah Mommy sez anytime she plans sumfin' weez nowhere to be found. So we get a lot of bloopers. She has to try to take da fotos she needs fur reviews when we don't see da camera or know what's goin' on. MOL Gweat fotos.
ReplyDeleteLuv ya'
Dezi and Lexi
Yea, I've found that these plans never go accordingly lol.
DeleteMy cat's impossible to photograph. She walks away when she sees the camera coming. I'll have to dig through my pics, see if I can add to this.
ReplyDeleteThat last one is a real blooper on several levels!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, that photo bomb is THE best! Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteLol - she always wants to be part of the fun :)
DeleteI truly don't think these are bloopers at all!
ReplyDeleteI don’t like photo shoots and ours are usually 20 snaps max. TW now bribes me with treats but that doesn’t always work since my head is down eating. I see you have a porn star in the making at your house.
ReplyDeleteThat camera photo shoot was like... 8 shots only I think lol. I do come across the head down eating problem too. That's a tricky one. Also - you crack me up!
DeleteI'm loving these bloopers that we're all posting...I don't need to delete them anymore!
ReplyDeleteMOL! Great bloopers! We need to pawticipate in this Round-up. We know we have a ton of blooper photos!
ReplyDeleteLOL - this is great! Were you taking too long? Rodrigo either jumps on me or starts barking at me.
ReplyDeleteWell, I guess to her I took too long. She is quite impatient.
DeleteOh, this sounds like a fun idea for a hop - I'll have to try to remember! Love your blooper shots. LOL about the naked photo-bombing, If that happened at our house it could only be the hubs - which could get xrated quickly! :)
ReplyDeleteCute bloopers.
ReplyDeleteThose are super cute bloopers! I love the one of Shiner with the treats! Maybe you can train your daughter, "if you keep your clothes on" I'll take your photo! :D Humans are a lot more difficult to train than the pups, though! LOL
ReplyDeleteYes, those little humans are difficult to train. She likes wearing her new Frozen Jammies and Spiderman costume. And sometimes she will dress up on her own, which I don't complain about.
DeleteHailey is pretty good, but we still get bloopers. What a fun bloghop!
ReplyDeleteI take TONS of pictures, too, many of which end up in the trash. I love your "bloopers!"
ReplyDeletePhotobombs or one pet deciding to come in for a closeup are usual bloopers for us too. I don't think any of our photobombs have ever been quite as embarrassing or cute as your daughter though! She just looks so proud back there and when one of the pets photobombs they look guilty.
ReplyDeletewe figure this is going to be the easiest series EVER. 99% of the photos are bloopers! MOL!
ReplyDeleteToo funny...I love them all. You have quite a household of potential bloopers...it's going to be a fun year watching!
ReplyDeleteBloopers are the best!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...
Noodle and crew
Those were so funny! My favorite was the one with Shiner and the treats. But they were all great!
ReplyDeleteBOL!! This looks like a really fun blog hop and such a relief. I see wonderful posts with pets looking amazing and always wonder, "how on earth did they do that", not I know. Patience! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered about my boys Gus & Jack. I can't imagine them cooperating for a photo. Now I know!
ReplyDeleteNow that's a cat that we cans understands... slap happy! -Ellie May and Katie Kitty Too
