Over the weekend, General Mills announced an adorable Holland Lop rabbit named Cinnabun as the new honorary Real Trix Rabbit. In October, General Mills had a contest to find a new honorary Real Trix Rabbit. Cinnabun ultimately came to victory over 7,600 other bunnies who entered the contest.

To celebrate Cinnabun's new title as an honorary Real Trix Rabbit, he rode in a limousine to the local news station and then to Kroger where he hopped down the red carpet and pawtographed boxes of Trix for his adoring fans. Boxes of Trix cereal featuring Cinnabun's photo are available for a limited time.
You can watch Cinnabun on the red carpet in the video below.
The commemorative boxes featuring Cinnabun were released to help celebrate that Trix is now among 75 percent of General Mills cereals that no longer contain artificial flavors or colors from artificial sources. I tried the cereal a few months ago and really like the new taste. I think it's much more tasty than the older version, personally.
Cinnabun's human, Natalie Tran, says she entered him into the contest after it was suggested by friends. She set up a photo shoot and submitted his photo. The rest is history! Cinnabun now has almost 7,000 followers on Instagram. If you're not following him there, you should because he is REALLY cute!
What does Cinnabun think about being an honorary Real Trix Rabbit? Since he's a rabbit and can't talk we can only speculate. “I know he’d be binking everywhere, which is like the rabbit equivalent of being really happy,” Natalie says. “And he’d probably ask for more treats."
Congratulations Cinnabun! I think more treats are in order as well! For more information about Cinnabun and his new title as an honorary Real Trix Rabbit, click here.
