Skin Products for Dogs from Isle of Dogs

This post is sponsored by Isle of Dogs. Pawsitively Pets only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. All thoughts and opinions expressed here are our own.

One of the most important and noticeable parts of a dog's body is their skin. For my dog in particular, it's important to me that I keep her skin as healthy as I can. Shiner has sensitive skin that becomes itchy from time to time, prompting her to lick a lot and scratch herself. I know it's a common problem for many other dogs too.

That's why I try to do as much as I can to help her skin stay healthy. For the past few months, I've used a couple of different products from Isle of Dogs to help.

Becky Rao, founder of Isle of Dogs, and her husband, Kailas, started their business in 2004. As the owner of champion Brittanys, Becky knew that having a beautiful and healthy coat was an advantage in the dog show ring. She found a formula for her dog grooming products that would cleanse coats without damaging them, which is important since show dogs need to be bathed often.

Today, Isle of Dogs has taken things a step further with their full line of natural grooming products, nutritionally superior dog treats, and supplements to promote wellness and beauty from within. Isle of Dogs' line of health and beauty products are sourced and made in the USA.

So what kind of Isle of Dogs products have I been using with my dog for the past few months? Take a look!

Isle of Dogs Skin Soft & Chewy Dog Treats Featuring Flaxseed and Kiwifruit

This treat is soft and chewy, making it easy to chew and break apart if needed. Isle of Dogs SKIN treats help to condition, moisturize, and improve overall skin health. Sometimes, wellness starts from within so I try to look for treats that can help promote a healthy skin and coat for my dog.

These treats have flaxseed and kiwifruit to help promote healthy skin and thick, shiny hair. Cherries and apples are also added to the treats for sweetness.

I think the Isle of Dogs SKIN treats are Shiner's favorite part of helping her skin.

Isle of Dogs Silky Oatmeal Shampoo & Conditioner

Because skin is on the outside of a dog's body, a good shampoo and conditioner is very important. I like using oatmeal based shampoos with Shiner. Isle of Dogs Silky Oatmeal Shampoo is mild and gentle and helps create a soft, silky feel to the coat. It's sulfate and paraben free and has an odor neutralizer that keeps the coat smelling fresher for a longer period of time.

My favorite part about this dog shampoo and conditioner is the scent. I have the Jasmine and Vanilla scent and it is absolutely divine! I've tried some of their other scents in the past and every single one has smelled amazing. The scent isn't too overpowering and yes, it does last longer than most other shampoos I've tried.

Isle of Dogs Jasmine + Vanilla Replascent

While smelling beautiful may not be at the top of Shiner's "most important things" list, it's pretty high on mine. One of my absolute favorite products from Isle of Dogs is their Replascent sprays. This product is a spray that can be used on your dog, in the home, and the car. It's great for freshening up your dog's coat between baths. It's kind of like doggy perfume. And once again, they smell amazing!

While I love Isle of Dogs Replascent, Shiner does not. Of course, she dislikes any sort of spray and must rub her body all over the house after I spritz her.

  2. Sounds great. My vet told me to stay away from Oatmeal based shampoos with Harley's environmental allergies. Said it only irritates him more. I had no idea...
