Place & Stick Tile Mats for Homes With Pets

I live in an older home with pets (some of which can be naughty) so I feel like I am always looking for a new rug for different parts of my home. For quite some time, I've been looking to replace a small, dingy rug that sits in front of my kitchen sink. Fortunately for me, I found TRILUC Place & Stick Tile Mats.

Made in Japan, TRILUC Place & Stick Tile Mats are machine washable, water repellent, and slip resistant. They come in individual squares that allow you to mix and match colors to create your own carpets. These are perfect for homes with pets who shed or have occasional potty accidents. Rather than washing an entire rug, just pick up the soiled tile and put it in the washing machine.

Placing the tile mats was simple. Some mischievous kitten was quite helpful with that. He has been enjoying the TRILUC Place & Stick Tile Mats... a little too much.

One of the reasons I selected the area in front of my kitchen sink for these tile mats is to hide a few missing wooden floor squares. Kitten Roadside thinks it's quite the fun game to attack the tile mats in those spots. And because some of the wood paneling beneath them is missing, they don't stick as well in those areas. I woke up one morning to a few tiles astray and suspect the culprit might be brown and furry.

However, every other tile won't budge and stays perfectly in place. If you have a normal even floor, it shouldn't be an issue. I find it pretty amazing considering this is a high traffic area in my home. You can even vacuum over them and they won't budge. I've tried sliding them around with my feet and nothing. They don't move at all, but are easy to pick up.

At first, I kind of wished that these were just one big rug. Then I realized that throwing one or two tiles in the washing machine rather than one big rug is in fact much easier.

I've also considered that these would be helpful for homes with senior dogs who may have a difficult time walking on wood flooring. Just add them to areas of your home to help your older pet have some more traction on the ground.

TRILUC Place & Stick Tile Mats are available in a wide variety of colors in packages of 4 or 8 pieces allowing for endless mix and match designs to go with your home decor. You can change up the pattern whenever you want. The TRILUC website has a lot of good ideas for patterns and designs.

TRILUC Place & Stick Tile Mats can be purchased in 4 pieces and 8 pieces from Wal-mart online.

We give this product 4 paws up and would recommend it to everyone looking for an alternative to a conventional rug. You can follow TRILUC on Instagram to stay up to date with them.

TRILUC sent us some of their Place & Stick Tile Mats at no charge.

What do you think? Would you use TRILUC Place & Stick Tile Mats in your home?

  3. I would LOVE my entire kitchen floor to have these and by the inside of our front door in our condo. (We have Pergo floors) but these are great, I would get rid of my area rug in the living room and use these. Dakota had "the runs" a couple of weeks ago, did he go on the Pergo floors? NOOOOOOOOOOOOO....of course not! He chose the only area rug in the room. I agree that pulling up one tile to wash it would be great. Thanks for posting! catchatwithcarenandcody

  6. Very cool! We were actually looking at a similar product called Flor Tiles. My dogs are getting older and I think they'd be happy with a little extra traction when roaming the house.
