My Dog Has Swag!

This year, Shiner and I were not fortunate enough to attend the BlogPaws conference that was held back in May. Our good friend, Garth Riley, attended with his mom and dad and told us all about it! He even brought back tons of swag with him. So much swag, that he decided to share with some of his friends!

You see, Garth had a giveaway over at his blog - The World According to Garth Riley. And guess who was lucky enough to win some of Garth's swag? Shiner of course! Special thanks to Garth for sending so many awesome things!

Shiner's box of swag from Garth.

Shiner was VERY excited about this package. I'm not sure I've ever seen her so excited over a package in the past in fact. Perhaps she recognizes Garth's scent because we have received some other nice cards and things from Garth before.

Inside the box were some toys, treats, coupons, and more! Shiner loved this little heart stuffy toy. It is made for small dogs, but it took her a bit of time to dismantle and de-stuff. It's still pretty intact. She never eats toy fluff, so I let her play with stuffies.

And talk about treats galore! There are treats from KONG, Hartz, Jones Natural Chews, Scout & Zoe's, Honest Kitchen, Greenies, Minties, and more! Shiner loves KONG Dental Chews, so she was excited to see those in the package.

Clockwise from top left: Jones Natural Chews pork chin, Scout & Zoe's sweet potato chips, Honest Kitchen's Pro Bloom, and Hartz Chikables.

I'm excited to try out "The Other Ear" from Jones Natural Chews. It's a pork chin and I'm sure Shiner is going to love it!

We also got some Pro Bloom Goat's Milk samples from Honest Kitchen. I decided to let our cat, Honey Delite test that out first. She took a few drinks and then went on to her business. I let Shiner drink the rest and she loved it. The Pro Bloom is an instant Goat's milk that contains digestive enzymes and probiotics for dogs and cats.

Speaking of Honey Delite, there was a brush in our package that I reserved for her. I haven't tried to brush Honey D. yet but she let me and she looked much nicer afterwards. She's a very fluffy kitty and I don't want her to get matted so I'll have to start brushing her more often now that I know she'll let me.

There was also something for Lily in there - trading cards! That's the first thing Lily tried to snatch from the box. The trading cards are from the Super Buddies Disney movie. There is also a trading card from Garth himself.

Garth's trading card.

So anyways, I'm sure I missed a few things in the box but these were some of our favorites. Thanks again Garth!

PS - I wasn't compensated to talk about any of these products. I just received a prize from a friend's blog and wanted to share it here :)

    1. I think she liked it OK. She did a bit of hissing and whatnot but I don't think she means much by it.

  24. How nice of him to give away some of his swag! My mom left everything at BlogPaws that she thought we would not want or need and the rest that she brought home I have shared with my sister, except for the Jones Wabbit jerky which Mom was special for me because I am an expert wabbit hunter. I can't wait to go with Mom next year and pick out my own stuff!

  25. Looks great. I am glad you mentioned the Pro Bloom. We are thinking of putting Thunder on a probiotic since his tummy has been gurgling lately, (can be a side effect of bloat surgery). He has been on yogurt, but I think as he ages he may need more so thanks for reminding me of it!

    1. I think yogurt for humans isn't quite the same for dogs. I might be wrong though. Another good pro-biotic that you could try is Purina Forti-flora. You sprinkle it over your dog's food.
