Paw Pals Mobile App for Pet Parents and Animal Non-Profits

I recently connected with Christopher Elce, the founder of a cool new app for pet parents and animal non-profits. The name of the app is Paw Pals, and it's expected to launch during Fall 2013. The Paw Pals app will be compatible with Android and iOS devices and free to download.

Paw Pals Mobile App

Wondering what all you can do with Paw Pals? Here are some of the features of the app:

  • The "Lost Pals" feature is kind of like an Amber Alert for pets according to Paw Pals. You can post your pet's last location if they ever become lost or stolen for all your friends and even animal shelters to see.
  • You can create a fun and interactive profile for your pet, pet business, or pet rescue organization.
  • Use "Paw Bucks" in-app currency. Paw Bucks are equivalent to real dollars and the app will make it easy and secure to use them for finding great deals in nearby retailers or donate them to shelter or rescue organizations who also use the app.
  • Have fun and be social with other pet lovers! You can enjoy this experience without advertisements too.

I've never really heard of any other mobile pet apps where you can directly donate to animal rescue organizations. To me it seems like a brilliant idea for these organizations to spread the word about their causes.

According to Paw Pals, their overall goal is to "make the world a better place for our fellow furry friends". Sounds like an excellent goal to me! The app sounds like a lot of fun, and I can't wait for it to be released so I can give it a try.

You can learn more about Paw Pals and contribute to the project here. If you can't contribute, you can always spread the word by sharing. But if you do decide to contribute, there are some pretty cool perks involved.

    1. I had a semi-dumb phone for my first phone when I was 25 lol. Honestly, I could probably live without my smart phone but my boyfriend wanted them.

  8. Looks cool, but like Molly, I also have a dumb phone. One of these days I will get into this century and get a smart phone! (Since I work from home, I just haven't really needed one!)

    1. I probably don't really need one either since I am at home. But I must say that they certainly come in handy when you're trying to navigate to some place that you've never been before.

  11. What a neat app! I like that it's organized for you to be able to directly donate to rescue organizations - that should definitely be a helpful resource for rescues to use for fundraising if they take advantage of it.
I only just got a smartphone this year... and I felt like I was the last person on Earth to get one. Glad to hear I'm not the only late-adopter. I'm at home a lot, so I really don't need it... but hey, I hadn't upgraded in YEARS and my cell provider owed me, lol.
