Enjoying #RecipeForMoments Everyday With My Dog

This post is sponsored by Nature’s Recipe® on behalf of the BlogPaws Blogger Network. Sharing a cuddle with your best furry pal. Getting a big fat doggy kiss planted right on your cheek when you least expect it. Being greeted by a wagging tail and smiling face when you walk through the door. These are all moments that I share with my dog, and you probably do too.

As a blogger in the Nature's Recipe® #RecipeForMoments campaign, I was asked to select a moment that I've recently shared with my dog, Shiner and share it with my readers. There are so many awesome moments that I share with my dog, so it got me to thinking whether or not I am really cherishing each of these moments I have with her like I should be.

I mean, they happen on a daily basis and sometimes I don't think much of them. They are just part of our daily lives. This Nature's Recipe for Moments campaign has helped to strengthen the human animal bond between the two of us by making me realize just how special these moments really are.

One of my favorite things to do with Shiner is explore our property and play with her in our big field. I'm pretty sure she enjoys it too. She runs around with a big goofy smile on her face while searching for sticks or lost toys.

My oldest daughter likes joining in on the fun too. They also share some special moments together.

Sometimes, when it's just the two of us exploring we take a moment to sit down and just enjoy each other's company. I love this because it's so relaxing. Just a girl and her dog. Shiner loves the attention too and I know she loves having me all to herself for a little while.

After we relax for a little while, I try to find a nice big stick for her and throw it as far as I can. She chases and starts romping around with it until she finds a nice spot in the grass to start chewing. I can forget ever getting the stick back, because she's not much for a game of fetch. Once it's hers, she doesn't return it! Something I've always thought was funny and special about her.

It's during these moments that I think Shiner enjoys true bliss. With this campaign, I have realized that everyday is a great day to make new special moments with your pet and strengthen the human animal bond with them.  What moments do you share with your pet that make them really happy?

Our story is a part of the #RecipeForMoments blog hop hosted by BlogPaws. Link up below to share your story of the bond you and your pet share. What do you think your pet feels in your special moments? 14. Those are great photos, Ann. Your love for Shiner really shows through, and the joy your daughter shares with her does also. Sometimes it's so easy to get caught up in the everyday stuff that we do forget to stop and savor each moment we have with those we love. That is one of the great things about this campaign, that it made us stop and think about them and enjoy them even more.

  17. Shiner I have to agree, pure bliss is found in gnawing on a yummy stick! P.S. Were you named after the yummy people beer? Just curious! Cool name.

    1. Hey Jerry, sticks are pawsome! We get asked that question a lot, but no she's not named after the beer. She has her name because she has one black eye, a Shiner!
