What Would Your Pet Do for Fresh Food? | Smart Dog Sam Steals Freshpet from Fridge

If you have a dog, I'm sure that they love to eat as much as mine done. Shiner is a very food driven dog and drops everything she's doing for a meal or a tasty treat. She especially loves getting an extra special meal every now and then too.

For the past week, Shiner has been enjoying delicious meals and treats courtesy of Freshpet. Freshpet makes refrigerated food for both dogs and cats. Freshpet brings the power of fresh and natural foods to our pets. They believe that fresh foods impact the health of both pets and people.

This smells delicious!

I'm sure that all of us have a story to share about our pets breaking into the treat jar or getting into their dog food when they weren't supposed to. After all, dogs and cats do love to make a little bit of mischief every now and then. But just how far do you think your pet would go for fresh food?

I have an awesome video today starring one smart dog named Sam. Sam loves his fresh dog food from Freshpet SO much, that he broke into the refrigerator for a bite to eat. Take a look! If the video doesn't show up below, you can view it here.

I was pretty amazed after watching Sam break into the fridge to steal his Freshpet dog food. He even had to go a step further and get a chair since his food was on the top shelf! Deep down inside, I am so glad that my dog may not be quite this smart...

After having a taste of Freshpet dog food and dog treats, Shiner might just learn to open the fridge. She thinks this food is so super tasty! Her favorite was the Freshpet Select Chicken with Spinach & Carrots recipe. And I have to say that this food smelled REALLY good. It smelled like something I had just cooked for dinner for my family.

Yummy!

If you thought Sam's sneaky plot to steal his food out of the fridge was amazing, share the video with your friends! We'd also love to hear about that one time when your pet caused mischief by getting into their food or treats. Share with us in the comments!

  3. Sam stealing the food from the fridge was very impressive! That Freshpet food must be some good stuff.

Milita's gotten into her dry cat food bag before by ripping a hole in it. After that, I had to find a way to store her food so she couldn't get into it, LOL.

    1. I remember my cat used to do the same thing every now and then. I sometimes found her in the cabinet we kept her food in with her head in the bag. She could get out of the cabinet, so no worries.

  6. That is too funny! I don't think my dogs have the coordination to do anything that sneaky (they're Great Pyrenees). They do love Fresh Pet though! I add it to their food every now and then :)

  9. Ha ha, Ann, as I was watching the video I had the same thought as you....I'm glad my dogs are not quite that smart!
Freshpet is cooked food, not raw, correct? It sounds like good stuff. I wish I had the ambition to cook for my pets, maybe this would be the next best thing!
The only things our dogs have succeeded in doing is knocking the cat food bowls off the counter when the cats are eating!

    1. Yes it's cooked food. I think we are in the same boat with the cooking for our dogs. I just don't think I'd have the time or the know-how right now.

    1. I'm sure she'd like it as a nice tasty treat. We also got a bag of cat Freshpet food. Will probably give it to my mom because she says she has 3 kittens at her house.

  12. Looks tasty. I'm not sure how their sensitive tummy's would react. Might be a great alternative - will have to look into it. Thanks
