Have a Pawty With Nat Geo Wild's Inaugural Barkfest Weekend

Does cuddling in bed all weekend with your dog sound like fun? What if I told you that you can do this AND watch other amazing dogs on TV during  Nat Geo Wild's Inaugural Barkfest Weekend. Sounds awesome, doesn't it?

It's been really rainy and cloudy here for the past few days, and I think this sort of weather is going to continue over the weekend. Cuddling up with Shiner to watch some good TV about dogs sounds pretty inviting right about now.

Barkfest kicks off on Friday May 15th at 8 pm ET/PT with World's Greatest Dogs. This show features the stories of some amazing dogs including a surfing therapy dog, a bionic dog, and even a dog with the world record in scootering.

Other shows you'll be able to enjoy during Barkfest include -

  • Unlikely Animal Friends: Barktacular! - Experience the friendship these special dogs share with some unusual animal friends including cheetahs, goats, and rats. (I may have to watch just for the rats!)
  • Super Underdogs - The dogs featured in this show were born with unusual characteristics and are pushing boundaries while taking their owners along for the ride.
  • Cesar 911 - Watch the Season 2 finale of Cesar 911 during Nat Geo Wild's Barkfest. Plus, a marathon of Cesar 911 all day Saturday, May 16th  from 7 am - 5 pm ET/PT.
  • Is Your Dog a Genius? - The world premiere of this three-part series starts on Friday, May 15th at 10 pm ET/PT. Scientist Dr. Brian Hare uses his groundbreaking research to help dog owners better understand their canine companions.
Enjoy all the shows listed above plus more on the Nat Geo Wild Channel. Here's a preview of some of the dogs that will be featured during Barkfest this weekend.

Be sure to tune in to Nat Geo Wild's Barkfest Weekend and enjoy some time relaxing with your dog!

  2. Sounds great. May have to set the DVR for that one - this weekend's forecast sounds too amazing to be indoors. Thanks for the heads-up

  8. I'm not sure I could stay in bed all weekend, unless I was sick. :) But it sounds like fun, and we'll have to try to tune into some of it anyway!
