4 Ways to Unleash Your Dog's Wild Side #feedthepursuit #NaturalBalance

It's fun for your dog to unleash their wild side every now and then. Shiner enjoys being wild from time to time, even as a 12 year old “senior” dog. She enjoyed her wild side much more when she was younger, but sometimes I honestly don't even notice that she's become an “old” dog. She certainly doesn't always act like one.

Shiner was recently invited to try and share her story here about the new Natural Balance Wild Pursuit dog food. There was no way she could turn the offer down since she's just a wild and crazy girl. Plus, she loves delicious food made with premium quality ingredients. And, she really likes meat.

Natural Balance Wild Pursuit is worthy of Shiner's wild side. Crafted with premium ingredients and backed by a "Buy With Confidence Guarantee" - every production run at Natural Balance is tested for her health and safety.

Shiner tried the Wild Pursuit Trout, Salmon Meal, & Tuna Dry Dog Formula and thought it was very tasty. I like giving her dog food with fish as the main protein source because her stomach does really well with it. You can see the little pieces of freeze-dried meat mixed in with the kibble.
It's like getting an extra special treat mixed in with dinner every night.

Natural Balance Wild Pursuit is now available in 35 varieties for dogs including dry and canned food, and treats, and for cats in dry and canned food formulas. I visited our local Unleashed by Petco and found several sizes of the Wild Pursuit dry food and canned food on their shelves. It's also now available at PetSmart.

So, what is Shiner's secret to unleashing her wild side? How does she keep her girlish figure slim and energy levels high? Today, Shiner will share her secrets with other dogs so that they too can get in on the fun.

Here are 4 ways for dogs to unleash their wild side:

1.        Spend time IN the "wild."

In order for one to be wild, one must first be one with the wild. You don't have to visit any place too exotic. Your backyard, local park, or neighborhood will do just fine.Just make sure you get out and enjoy some fresh air and nature!Go for walks with your human. Stop to sniff the flowers, trees, and whatever other smells you fancy. Dig holes in the dirt. Roll around in the mud. You catch my drift. This is the kind of stuff that being a dog is all about!

2. Zoomies.

One excellent way to unleash your wild side is by running around at 100 mph, tongue hanging outside your mouth, for no particular reason. Don't ask - just do it! Zoomies are fun and will show your human just how wild you really can be.

3. Be familiar with the local wildlife.

Lots of dogs like to hunt. Shiner prefers hunting rabbits and the cat when possible. Even though she’s never actually caught any of the local fauna here, it’s about never giving up. She keeps her aspirations high and pursues her dreams. Now, as Shiner’s owner I don’t condone harming any of the local wildlife, but it can be fun for her to find a lizard or squirrel to bark at every once in a while.

4. Satisfy your ancestral cravings with good food.

One of the most important factors to unleashing any dog’s wild side is eating a balanced and nutritional diet. Your doggy ancestors hunted for their meals in the wild and lived on a variety of high protein sources. Shiner loves her meat, which is why she loves it when I feed her the new Natural Balance Wild Pursuit dog food

This food can offers you, just like it does Shiner, a high protein formula to satisfy cravings for meat, plus it’s grain-free. The food contains a balanced blend of three different premium protein sources rather than just one, which makes it resemble what a wild doggy diet might have been. Mixed in the kibble are freeze-dried pieces of meat to seal in the optimal nutrition and an irresistible taste.

What kind of wild activities does your dog enjoy?

  7. Wow, Shiner is such an active girl! Ace is a "senior" too at age 9 and he can get quite wild when he's chasing a ball! I guess that's how he stays young - by playing! I don't think Ace has ever had this food, but it would definitely be one I'd feel comfortable feeding him in rotation with other brands. Cute pictures, as always!

    1. It's nice! I need to watch Shiner more carefully next time she eats to see if she notices the freeze-dried meat and picks it out or if she just chows it all down at once.
