Beefy Mustache Pupsicles for Dogs

We've practically been melting over here in Texas lately. While the temperatures are only slightly cooler than what they usually are (we aren't reaching 100 degrees farenheit very often), it's still scorching! And to make things worse, the AC unit in my bedroom broke a few weeks ago. Thankfully, we finally replaced it last night.

I've been trying different things to keep the pets cool lately. One of the things I've done is make some frozen dog treats. You may remember the watermelon pupsicles we made about a month ago. Shiner liked them, but fruit isn't her favorite so I decided to go with a more meaty approach for today's pupsicles.

I like to call these frozen treats "Beefy Mustache Pupsicles". Isn't that mustache silicone ice cube tray the cutest?! I thought so anyways. Here's what you'll need to make your own Beefy Mustache Pupsicles:

I'm going super simple here guys. All you need to do is add a small dog cookie to your mold. I used Riley Organic Dog Treats. Then, pour your beef broth into the molds and freeze. After a few hours, you'll have adorable beefy mustache-shaped pupsicles!

Shiner definitely enjoyed these frozen treats and ate them willingly. In fact, she tried to steal the bowl right out of my hand. These treats are great for any day, but we especially love them on hot days. It's a simple way to beat the heat.

Now, I MUSTACHE you a question! Does your dog enjoy frozen treats? If so, share their favorites with us!

  1. Those are adorable. I don't have the mustache molds but I do have molds and treats and broth - away I go.

  2. These are adorable. I have not thought to make these. The mustache is cute. I have little dog bone molds. Olivia's favorite is Doggie Ice Cream in the molds. I mix Greek Yogurt with Peanut butter and bananas she loves that. Jaxon's Favorite is Yogurt with blue berries. Yummy.

    1. I don't bake too much either... every now and then it's fun though. That's why I like making stuff like this. Didn't take long at all!

  7. Nope! they’re too much like water. Pop likes ice cream and I sort of think of him as my pet.

  11. Fabulous treat idea! I've been taking a bit of our moist can food and freezing it into tiny dixie cups. Both my babies love em! I forgot that I have dog bone molds so I might be making some beef broth freezies. Thanks for the reminder!
