Introducing Grain Free Holistic Pet Nutrition from #PinnacleHealthyPets

When shopping for Shiner's dog food, there are a few things I take into consideration. I want to give her the best food I can that's within my budget. She likes to try new foods with different proteins and quality ingredients, and generally does well with food changes. For the most part, I try to steer clear of chicken, beef, and grains in her main diet.

This post is sponsored by Pinnacle® and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I am being compensated for helping create awareness for Pinnacle's Newly Formulated Grain Free Dog Food, but Pawsitively Pets only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Pinnacle is not responsible for the content of this article.

Soon, Shiner will be trying a new food and we are both excited about it! I've heard of Pinnacle® pet food before, and it's been a food that I've considered trying with the dog in the past. For those of you who are not familiar with Pinnacle, let us acquaint you.

Pinnacle first launched back in 1998 as a breakthrough brand in natural holistic dog food. Pinnacle has always used holistic ingredients in their dog food, but in May 2015 they made all of their dog food recipes grain free to facilitate easier digestion.

Pinnacle dog foods are grain free and contain limited ingredients at their California plant. We hear it's pretty tasty too, and Shiner can't wait to get her paws on some. Here is some more important information about Pinnacle holistic pet nutrition:

  • They use quality ingredients such as quinoa, sweet potato, pumpkin, sea kelp, cottage cheese, and blueberries in their food. (Shiner's mouth is watering!)
  • Natural, healthy recipes that use high quality proteins. We have our eye on the Grain Free Duck & Sweet Potato Recipe, but they also have formulas with proteins like trout, salmon, and turkey.
  • Antioxidants to support a healthy immune system.
  • Fiber to encourage healthy digestion and small stools.
  • Promotes general joint health and overall muscle tone. Something I'm happy to see for my active senior dog.
  • Good for dogs with sensitive stomachs
For pet parents who are ingredient conscious and looking for natural high quality ingredients in their dog's food, Pinnacle provides your dog with the the total pet nutrition they need for holistic health.

As I mentioned above, Shiner will be starting her trial of Pinnacle dog food very soon and we couldn't be more excited to share more with all of you about it. As a senior dog, I like to make sure she eats healthy and is able to continue being an active senior dog. She is 12 years old, and shows little signs of slowing down so far. We hope it stays that way for a very long time!

To find a store near you that carries Pinnacle, they have a handy store locator on their website. You can follow Pinnacle on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date with them.

  2. Oh that would be perfect for me, I have a sensitive stomach... or 7 sensitive stomachs... I will look if we can find it online :lo) I can eat stuff from the trashcan without problems, but some kind of food leads to a thunderstorm in my belly... a miracle :o)

    1. Shiner doesn't have a sensitive stomach, but if she gets into stuff (like trash) she might have thunder belly too. ;)
