Breaking Mews: Callie Grooms Roadside

Today, we have the story of the century for you all. Since we've adopted Roadside the kitten, Callie hasn't really liked him. She has really done well tolerating him more and more as time goes by. It's hard to blame her when he can be such a little brat! (We still love you Roadside, but it's true...)

Caught in the act: Callie grooms Roadside the Kitten.

He runs around like a maniac jumping on her back or throwing swings at her in an attempt to get her to play. Callie doesn't put up with it though and tells him what she thinks.

However, in recent days things changed drastically. Callie was spotted GROOMING Roadside for several minutes with her OWN tongue. Whoa! I don't know what's more amazing... the fact that Callie actually groomed him, or that he just sat there and enjoyed it.

One eyewitness was able to capture the event on video. Check it out -

Progress!

  5. So glad. We have the same situation with my cat, Moko. She's never met another cat she liked - until I found a tiny feral kitten on July 6th and brought her in. I had to bottle feed Kotoha at first, and now she's on solid food. I think it might be because she was just a baby when she came to us, but Moko actually likes her - and will groom her and purr for her. Moko still doesn't like my daughter's cat, Arata, but luckily Kotoha does and will play with him. I was worried I wouldn't be able to add another cat as long as we have Moko, but now that she likes Kotoha, I feel better. The first time Moko started grooming Kotoha, I wanted to shout it to the world.
