If I ever were in a situation of not being able to have a kitty, I would really want a guinea pig. I sure hope these ones get loving forever homes. She used to lay next to me when I was reading on my bed, and she'd crawl up my shirt sleeve and go to sleep. I still miss her! I think so many people adopt them and don't realize what kind of care they need, because most of the time when they were sick it was because of poor husbandry. Sometimes, their people aren't even aware that they eat a mostly hay diet. They would take a lot of clean up, because they are always pooping as they should be. Great Danes are really gentle dogs, and I have found that Shiner gets along well with small animals. But, they aren't for all dogs of course.
