I have the chews right now, but they are very hard - not really chews at all. Even after putting them in the microwave like the package instructions note, they are not as edible as the powder. Because I have a large breed dog, I always soak her food to prevent the risk of bloat and mixing the powder with her food is much easier than trying to soften the chews in the microwave. I noticed a change in her activity level approx. 2 weeks after starting the powder.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6382480381687088490.post-70756647008818031502013-11-25T19:46:04.130-06:002013-11-25T19:46:04.130-06:00Sounds like a good supplement. What you do with him sounds similar to what I've done with Shiner in the past. I'm bad at remembering to give meds or vitamins, so I do it when I am thinking about it. Chester is 11 and I still have a hard time remembering he is old. Other than having a tad of grey, a couple fatty lumps, and being stiff when he gets up occasionally, he acts like he did 5 years ago. I do give him something for his joints most days. What I give him is not consistent though. Sometimes it is a joint-supplement treat, sometimes it is a liquid supplement, and sometimes it's beef trachea - a natural source of cartilage building nutrients.Jessica @ YouDidWhatWithYourWeiner.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16636058596387444739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6382480381687088490.post-55338814820111633942013-11-22T21:14:06.693-06:002013-11-22T21:14:06.693-06:00Scout just turned 11 and I can't believe he is...Scout just turned 11 and I can't believe he is actually 11. My sisfur's cat is 16 and was placed on the human supplement for joints (Glucosomine - spelling is off), but it has helped him for 2 years. Yes, it does work - a short term fix tho, but take that fix while you can get it.
