Let me start off today's post by saying that senior pets rock! Did you know that my dog, Shiner, is considered a senior pet? Yep - she's 10 years old but seems as young as ever to me.
This awesome infographic was created to celebrate Senior Pet Month that's going on over at BlogPaws. I particularly like this infographic because not only does it include dogs and cats, it includes other small animals like guinea pigs, ferrets, and rabbits. And you all know how fond I am of the little furries.
So, what do you think? Are senior pets awesome or what?!
They are wonderful and wise :o)
ReplyDeleteI agree! Senior pets are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Senior pets rock! :-)
ReplyDeleteSenior pets are awesome!! Lita is 10 and Jewel is 15 :) Our dear Kitty lived to be 18! I cherish all the time I have with my wonderful babies :)
ReplyDeleteSenior pets rock!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words and well wishes for our Dad, he is already doing so much better!
Yay! Very glad to hear that :)
DeleteTotally agree with you Ann,xx Rachel
ReplyDeleteThey get more and more mischievousness, when they're getting older. My dog, who was almost 18 when she left our planet, was still playing and she took all of us for a ride all the time.. My cat became very naughty, when she got older, as well as the hamsters. They say "there's no fool like an old fool," and Oh, how we love that :) Happy Pawkisses for the weekend :)
ReplyDeleteHehe yea... Shiner is still very mischievous!
DeleteWe loved the quote...age is just a number , life is an attitude. How true. Have a fabulous Friday Ann.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I also really like the quote on it!
DeleteI've never rescued a senior dog but have a few senior cats. Although they don't stay in our lives as long as we'd like, it's great to know that you finally gave them a chance. BTW, today is the 3 anniversary of my tom cat passing. Almost 2 weeks later, Titan happened! I still miss my Jaggar though. Such personality.
ReplyDeleteGreat post Ann!
I've never rescued a senior dog either. Maybe one day. I did "help" a senior dog before. She was given up by her peeps and I took her to my family outings with me on Christmas Day so she wouldn't be alone. Honey Delite will be the first older pet I've ever taken in.
DeleteSenior pet are wonderful. Three of my five fit in that category now, and I want to do everything I possibly can to have them with me for a very, very long time. they are TRULY the BEST!
ReplyDeleteI love this infographic. I am getting to be a senior dog...and we definitely ROCK! Go Shiner!!! Have a wonderful weekend.

DeleteI never knew Shiner was 10, Sheba wants to know what her secret is.
ReplyDeleteHmmm I'm not sure myself :)
DeleteWe love our senior cats! Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteBaggy and Nin are awesome!
Deletewow! I would have never guessed Shiner is 10!! What an amazing girl :-) I really like the iconographic, too.
ReplyDeleteNo turtle :(
ReplyDeleteanyway...good information :)
The last question is what worries me all the time, turtles have long live...what if they outlive me, who'll take care of them and love them as much as I do
I have met some pretty old turtles before. One box turtle I met was 30 years old :)
DeleteYes they are!!
ReplyDeleteI am practically senior, so need to read up!! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteI have a ways to go but mom's had lots of senior cats. Thanks for the great information! Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteWe love our seniors too....3 dogs and 2 cats. I wouldn't trade them for puppies or kittens any day. This is our first time having senior dogs, so we are trying to learn all we can. I was surprised to read that Shiner is 10, I never would have guessed that! She is doing great!
ReplyDeleteI sure do love old dogs. I sometimes wish they could tell us of their wisdom.
ReplyDeleteShiner looks like a young 10!
