Patriotic Pup Style on the 4th of July

Today is the 4th of July also known as Indedpendence Day in the United States. Many Americans like to wear red, white, and blue to show their patriotic spirit for the holiday. And of course, some pets dress up too! We like to keep it simple, since it gets hot in Texas and it's too warm for Shiner to wear clothes.


I recently ordered a very cute and patriotic hand-knitted dog collar for Shiner from our friends, Mollie and Alfie, who have a shop that has lots of handmade gifts for people and pets. Mollie and Alfie are from England, so this collar traveled a very long way to make it to us.

We first saw Misaki the Malamute wearing one of these fashionable statement pieces, and we wanted one for ourselves! I guess you could say that Misaki is a trendsetter.
