When I first adopted Jack and Gus, I think Violet scared them a little. She was just so excited and got a little loud. They seem to have adjusted to her just fine now and she doesn't startle them much anymore. Violet is pretty good with them, but she has her moments when those tails are just too tempting to grab hold of. Don't worry, she's always monitored with them just in case.

What was your favorite pet as a child? Answer in the comments!
Awww, looks like one of her babies is trying to give her a kiss! Cute! Btw, love the Hello Kitty wear! Lifelong fan! :) ♥
ReplyDeleteThanks, that's the larger human baby wearing that shirt.
DeleteNice rats...they seem pretty big too.
ReplyDeleteViolet has such gorgeous brown eyes! Glad she and the rats are friends!
ReplyDeleteMice are cute, but Violet is adorable and all together they are precious. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteUm, those rats seem BIG. Is it just because Violet is just so small (and adorable)?!? Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteOz
Lol, well they are big Oz!
DeleteI'm so happy that Violet grows up the way I dreamt about. To grow up with animals is the best thing ever!
ReplyDeleteYesterday, she was busy giving fish kisses when we went to the lake. :)
DeleteThose babies are just darling and so is Violet!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, of Violet and the rats!
ReplyDeleteI think I would be inclined to be like Violet (who I might add is cute as a button!) and grab onto those tails. I'll need to be monitored also I'm afraid...
ReplyDeleteShe has no fear that's for sure! They wouldn't hurt you, I promise ;)
DeleteWe saw your photo on FB kissing them too :-) Happy Wednesday. Golden Woofs
ReplyDeleteOh yea... Jack likes to get in my face a lot. I try to shoo him away some, but he just keeps coming back.
DeleteThose are sure cute photos!
ReplyDeleteEvery princess needs a Gus and Jack! ♥♥
ReplyDeleteWe think Violet and her babies are all cute! :)
ReplyDeleteGrow up with anipals is the best thing for a child ! Lucky Violet ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteVery cool that you have rats in the home as pets. Growing up we only had goldfish and a parakeet as pets. Nothing that we were able to interact with much.
ReplyDeleteThey sure look cute together! So great to grow up with pets!
ReplyDeleteThat is too adorable! Really puts into perspective how big they are!
ReplyDeleteAww! Your daughter is very pretty. I'm glad to see that she is learning good pet owner skills and taking time to appreciate animals :) It may sound silly, but I think those things lead to well-developed compassion as an adult.
ReplyDeleteI agree Robin, and I can see it in my older daughter as well.
DeleteAwww so cute, love those photos, and look at the size of them Gus and Jack are huge!xx Rachel
ReplyDeleteSorry we have missed so much. We didn't realise you had two new babies. What fun and we look forward to seeing more of them. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I have to do constant monitoring with my little girl as well. But it is well worth it, teaching them how to treat animals at such a young age, it benefits our kids so much!
ReplyDeleteღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
She is just a little girl, so it is good for her to learn how to be nice to little pets and I bet the rats love her when she is mellow.
ReplyDeleteThose tails do look tempting to grab a hold of. It is kind of like a toy. It is so good for her to learn about taking care of animals. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet! I could see my kids calling them their babies too. She must love having them :-)
ReplyDeleteThat first picture is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteViolet and her babies are so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, that pictures where they are almost kissing is so sweet.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! Those pictures are adorable!
ReplyDeleteCan’t believe the rats fight with each other but are so gentle with Violet.
ReplyDeleteThey aren't constantly fighting each other. Just every now and then they get into it. They really do love each other and snuggle with each other quite often :)
DeleteViolet is adorable! It's great that she cares so much about the pets. I've never had a pet rat myself. It has always been dogs, though I have had a couple of cats in my time. Cassie was my first and best dog ever. Patra (short for Cleopatra) was my second and best cat ever.
