Gourmet Dog Treats Tasting Party

A couple of weeks ago, the nice folks at Merrick sent Shiner a goody box filled with treats and party favor bags. The box of goodies was complete with menus which included some of their delicious gourmet dog treats. We weren't expecting this box, so it was a nice surprise when it arrived.

Shiner had her first taste of Merrick dog food and treats a few months ago, and now she's hooked on it. I think pretty highly of it myself. It's a great food brand. As you can see in the picture above, all of the treats we received are grain free AND gluten free and made with wholesome ingredients that are good for your dog.

For now, we've decided to open the Merrick Power Bites Real Beef Recipe treats to see how Shiner likes them. They are very small treats, making them perfect for training and small dogs.

I opened the bag for our gourmet treat tasting party and Shiner was ready to chow down! She actually stuck her snout in the bag and tried to eat all the Power Bites. And when I told her not to, she picked up the bag with her mouth and tried to walk away with it. So, I think she gives these treats 4 paws up!

I plan to make some goody bags for Shiner's doggy cousins, Farrah and Crook. I've been seeing these two on a weekly basis and I'm sure they'd appreciate some extra special treats. I dropped off a bag of Merrick Wingalings doggy treats for her cousins last week. I have yet to hear what they think of the treats, but I'm sure they'll approve.
