Shiner hates her baths. It was a nice day out yesterday, and her skin's been looking a little itchy so I thought it would be a good time for a b-a-t-h. Shiner was not happy.
She got over it quickly and I can tell she feels better afterwards. Does your dog like their bath?
Shiner I'm so with you... that water torture is awful.... and in summer when my allergies are back I have to take tooooo much of that darned baths :o( easy rider
Baths are the worst. Buster hates baths, and we need to do tons more counter conditioning training first. It makes it hard though, since he's an allergy dog and bathing would help his skin.
Why do dogs hate getting baths, but they love jumping into pools or lakes? Maybe it's the smelly shampoo that they hate. It's all right Shiner, Haley hates getting a bath too.
They are such big babies when getting baths. I wonder why it bothers them so much. I would think it would be soothing to just be rubbed and touched all over with shampoo and then warm water. Oh well... :)
shiner...we can confirm we haz never meeted a dawg that liked a bathe....ore a cat frank lee....knot sure jack & gus wood like a bathe.....kidz due knot even like ta bathe....now that we think oh it, a bathe shuld bee out lawed.......period !! ♥♥♥
Oh Jack and Gus do NOT like baths either. Maybe even less than Shiner. But I only bathed them one time. My human 3 year old loves to "swim" in the bath, but my 10 year old... well, she is harder to convince to take one lol.
It was just bath day at our house too. I had to wrangle my older dog, but my puppy walked into the shower on her own. She's going to be a water baby. Hope is wasn't too traumatic for Shiner.
Not a bath! Anything but a bath! LOL I hope that Shiner felt better about it after it was done. I don't really bathe my cats. They are pretty good at keeping themselves clean. I will wipe them down with a wash cloth if they get something on their fur that I don't want them licking off though.
Our dogs hate baths! They both had them last week. Leo used to like trying to bite the water, but we had to pick all 90 pounds of him up to get him in the tub. Mia wasn't thrilled but she didn't fight back as much as Leo did. Then she was softer and cleaner than she's ever been.
Oh Shiner, I didn't know you felt that way about baths. Harley loves his. Jax may be a different story. He's had two because he loves dirt, mud and puddles. It wore me out!
No, they don't like them, but they're pretty good about it. Cricket can get pretty wound up and upset though...she'll be shaking even after its over, so we try not to do it too often. They're probably due now but I figured we'd wait until after mud season anyway!
No I do no like a bath ever. I know when my parents are getting things ready and I try to hide under the bed! I don't even go into the bathroom at all. My Mom takes me to a place called Sister's Pet Wash. They do a great job getting me clean and itch free. xo Cinnamon
I thought it was just cat's that didn't like bath time?

ReplyDeleteYep! Shiner will jump into the lake too. She also hates going out when it's raining. So weird!

ReplyDeleteLuna's motto is bath day is the worst day! Until she is set free and zoomies happen, of course.
