This week's word for the 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge is SKY.
I wish I could show y'all a beautiful bright blue summer sky that is the norm down here in Texas this time of year. Unfortunately, our skies have been cloudy and rainy pretty much all month long. Saturday morning, I was woken up by several huge claps of thunder that sounded and felt like they had happened right in my backyard. (I don't do lightning!)
This photo was taken yesterday on Saturday at 3 in the afternoon. An hour earlier, the sun was shining a little bit and it looked pretty nice out. It didn't last long! Shiner is hoping for more sunshine!
It's not all bad though. Central Texas has been in a drought since 2007. Our lake levels are very low so hopefully this helps.
Here's to hoping your weekend is more sunny than ours!
We hope you get your sunshine wish sweet Shiner!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a threatening sky! I do hope the rain helps your drought. We lived in the DFW area for a several years. We know about some of the crazy storms that can happen in TX!

ReplyDeleteWith all the weather reports of rain, tornados and wind damage in your area lately - I've been thinking about you. Hope you are safe.
ReplyDeleteYea, there has been some crazy videos and photos I have been seeing on Facebook and the news here lately. Luckily, so far all of the really bad things have happened just south of where I live... but not south by much.
