The Wait to Chew...

Yesterday, Shiner visited the vet for her dental recheck. She had an upper molar removed last week and a teeth cleaning under anesthesia. Since then she has not been allowed to play with her toys or chew on things. Bummer!

Not this vet place again!!

The vet said Shiner's mouth looks great - good news. But still no chewing for just 3 more days per the vet's request.

She really wants to play with something and I see her searching for her toys. She did find one very small piece of shredded stuffy under her bed one day. Silly girl got so excited about finding this tiny scrap of a toy and started flinging it around. I have her toys up high, and she spotted them yesterday. I could tell she was thinking of a way to get them down...

I'll take one of each!

After we visited the vet yesterday afternoon, we went to PetSmart to pick up some dog treats and dental chews. Shiner can't wait to dig in to her new snacks in 3 days!

Have a wonderful Wednesday friends!

  4. i had the same problem with my youngest. she could not chew on toys, or anything when she had root planing and gum graphs. no hard toys, pull toys, i have to be very careful with her teeth. she goes in for checkups every 3 months and has her teeth cleaned abt 3-4 times a yr. we see a dental specialist. hope shiner is doing well. the other girls did not like that i had to take up all of the toys and believe me it was a lot, over 50-60 toys. i have 3 girls. i am sure he will appreciate the new treats and toys.
