Finding fun, reliable, and long lasting dog toys and chews for dogs who are aggressive chewers can be a challenge. Fortunately, Shiner was asked to try some of Pet Qwerks Flavorit™ bones for dogs. As a connoisseur of dog chew toys, Shiner gladly accepted this offer and we put the Flavorit bones to the test.
What Makes Flavorit Bones Special?
At first glance, they just look like bone-shaped dog chews. So what makes Flavorit bones special? You can spread peanut butter on them! Each Flavorit bone has small cells on both the front and back of the bone. Spread peanut butter on the bone to fill the cells for even more long lasting fun. You can see how they work in the video below.I think this is my favorite part of the bones (Shiner's too) because it keeps her interested in chewing them longer. Actually, I like it because she licks them more than she chews. She has a bad habit of licking her feet too much at times. I like giving her a Flavorit bone with peanut butter spread on it to distract her and give her something else to lick instead.
Flavorit dog bones are made for aggressive chewers. I know these are going to last a long time. They are made in the USA from 100% nylon.
Also, these dog chews are infused with variety of different flavors like Chicken, Mint, Sweet Potato, Bacon, Berry, and Peanut Butter.
The Flavorit Flex Bacon bone. |
Flavorit bones are available in a "Flex" style too, which are made for slightly less aggressive chewers. I was really interested in trying one of these out, because they are a little softer. Shiner has put some pretty nice dents in her Flavorit Flex already, but I still think it's a pretty durable toy.
What Does the Dog Think?
To put it simply, the dog loves them! Flavorit dog bones are a durable and interactive toy that are great for keeping a dog busy. It's been rainy here for a week or so, and these are perfect for those rainy days. She continues to lick and chew the bones trying to get the peanut butter out of the cells.
I have some ideas to experiment with later for different spreads to try with our Flavorit bones. Pet Qwerks' website suggests cream cheese as well, but I do want to try mashed sweet potato one day.
The dog bones are dishwasher safe, which is nice for cleanup. However, if you are lacking a dishwasher (like me) cleanup is still not too bad. I soaked the bones in warm water for a while and then scrubbed them a bit with a bristle brush.
These dog toys are inexpensive, durable, easy to clean, and provide long-lasting fun. We give them 4 paws up! You can find Flavorit bones on the Pet Qwerks website HERE or purchase them on Amazon HERE.

However, I don't think we could spread anything on them...then they would all want the same one! But you don't have to put anything on them, right? Bacon flavor would definitely be a hit around here!
ReplyDeleteNo, you don't have to spread anything on them. Shiner likes chewing the bacon flex one w/o anything on it the most. The peanut butter just helps spice things up a bit!
