With Summer right around the corner, I've been working on getting my home cleaned up a little bit. It feels like a never ending task with two kids and three pets, but I fortunately have a few tricks up my sleeve. My favorite product for cleaning carpets is Spot Shot Pet Instant Carpet Stain & Odor Eliminator.
My carpets are definitely not new and they have several old stains. This Summer, I am dedicated to finding and cleaning old carpet stains. Just last week I was cleaning under some furniture and found an old carpet stain. I'm not sure what the stain is as it's been hiding for a while, but it appears to be dirt or mud. I grabbed my Spot Shot Pet and proceeded to clean said carpet stain.
Here's a before and after photo. I'm always amazed at what an extraordinary job this carpet cleaner does! Spot Shot Pet is proven to remove the worst stains better than the competition, including pet accidents and tracked in mud, oil, and dirt. It permanently eliminates all kinds of new and old stains.
What a difference, right? The process for Using Spot Shot Pet is simple. In today's post, I want to share with you all how to use it on old carpet stains.
How to Use Spot Shot Pet on Old Carpet Stains
If you haven't tried Spot Shot Pet before, let me explain how you can use it to clean old carpet stains in your home.
- Blot up any wet soils with an absorbent cloth. Because the stain I pictured above is an old and dry stain, I skipped this step.
- Shake can well before use.
- Spray Spot Shot on the stain. Don't saturate the carpet and leave it on the stain for 5 minutes.
- Gently blot with a clean, white absorbent cloth.
- If necessary, repeat steps 3 & 4 until the stain is gone.
- After full stain removal, gently blot the area with clean, cool water. Repeat and blot the area dry.

We might have to try that since we do have a few stains hanging around"
ReplyDeleteI wish we had it... if it works for shaggy carpets too... to wash a carpet in the bathtub is no fun :o)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this great product. I always have issues with pet stains and this could definitely be useful to try out to see if it works.
ReplyDeleteThank for for sharing your experience! There are times when people think that more equals cleaner but it's completely the opposite. Applying small amounts works way more effectively, and it prevents your carpet from being covered in cleaning solutions.
