These Tricks Are For the Birds

As I was browsing YouTube recently, I found some really cute videos of birds doing tricks. Did you know that birds are highly intelligent creatures that can be trained to do all kinds of things? Just like a dog! I'm not just talking about being able to talk either. Here are some of my favorite videos of bird tricks that I watched.

The first one is a type of bird called a Caique (pronounced Ky - eek). Caiques are fun birds that are sometimes referred to as the "clowns" of the parrot family.

Next up, is a budgie - or parakeet - that can balance on a tennis ball! Dogs aren't the only ones who love their balls. I think it's pretty cool how he is able to get his ball out from under the table all by himself.

And finally, I watched a video of a Senegal parrot that knows how to do lots of different tricks. Here's a video of Kili the Senegal parrot playing dead.
