I'm still working my way around there, but I think I've got the basics down. I haven't posted many Vines yet, but thought I'd share the few that I have created with you here. If you're not sure what Vine is, it's a social network that lets you post a short 7 second video to your followers and friends.
Here's our very first Vine of Nibblet in her house. Which by the way, you can read all about her fancy new home here in yesterday's post.
And here's another very cute Vine of Nibblet perched on my shoulder while she grooms herself.
And I couldn't leave Shiner out, so here she is catching treats. She's pretty good at it too!
I sure am loving Vine! I can sit down and watch a lot of them and I have been finding it very distracting! I also can't wait to have fun creating more of these short little videos. I think it's awesome to see our pets in action.
It seems as though Vine doesn't have any sort of real website, so I can't share a link to my profile here. If you're on Vine, find us by searching for "Pawsitively Pets". You'll see Shiner's cute face as our profile picture. I've followed some friends over there already, but would like to find more of you!

ReplyDeleteWhat fun! So glad to have another place to connect with you and the crew.
ReplyDeleteI think I may have found you there but not sure!
DeleteWe've followed you so that should make finding us easier! :)
DeleteThese really are cute! Shiner is so good at catching those pop flies :-)
ReplyDeleteI don't know why, but I think it is funny when a dog doesn't know how to catch food! So I make sure Shiner knows how :)
DeleteCool! I should get my secretary to work on this too!
ReplyDeleteOh Carlos, I would LOVE to see you in action!
DeleteCute! Shiner is a good catcher!
ReplyDeleteGenerally, I'm not a video fan. The videos take longer to watch than I could read the same content.
ReplyDeleteAnd then I heard about Vine. I got really excited about seeing people's quick scenes of interesting things. I loved seeing Nibblet grooming. And Shiner could show the Mets a thing or two.
The downside is that since the videos stream over and over, a website with 2 or 3 vines on it eats up a lot of bandwidth. It took a long time to get your page to load on my DSL internet connection. Now I really have to get a better ISP. :)
I know what you mean Pamela! Videos are fun, if they catch my attention. But my volume doesn't work right now... I think about 2 minutes is my maximum for my attention spam on videos. But I do love short videos of others pets, it's nice to see them in action.
DeleteHope that problem isn't too bad for others! Mine seems to be working OK, maybe a hint slower I suppose.
That is too cute! We've never been able to get Vine to install on our iPhone for some reason.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it is too "old"... My old phone wouldn't download it because it wasn't new enough. =/
DeleteOh that sounds really fun Ann , great videos :)
ReplyDeleteYour videos are cute Ann! I was super excited when Vine first came out months ago, I joined...then I stopped using it because to me it is just another time sapper. I know everyone LOVES instagram too and I am a member there but don't use it for the same reason. I admire people who have the time, I just don't!
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a time sapper Caren! LOL... but I do love it as well as Instagram. It is hard to keep up with everything sometimes.
DeleteOkay Miss Ann, I just got myself onto Instagram and now you are talking Vine. BOL! I don't think I could handle another social media site at this point. But I will say, your videos are too cute. Love Nibblet on your shoulder and of course, Shiner catching those treats. (I had no trouble getting your page to load with the three videos, btw.)
ReplyDeleteOz
Thank you Oz! You are on IG? I must find you! Can you tell that I'm a social media addict? BOL
DeleteWe just started to use instagram and vine the end of November. I think we will use both a lot when we are out and about, but now with winter, it is just too hard to maneuver things usually with three dogs on leashes and winter gloves. Vine was a bit tough to figure out, but we may get better at it in time.
ReplyDeleteI see some people posting fancy type stuff on Vine and am curious how they do it! I am happy with my basic Vines for now.
DeleteCool!! I don't have vine either...but I enjoy watching them tho! Very cool!
ReplyDelete((Husky hugz))
"Love is being owned by a husky"
Glad you are having fun. We are on it but haven't really used it yet, we are spread thin enough trying to post to Instagram more. Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteI feel ya Dolly. My phone social media sites are the ones I neglect the most.
Deleteoh too cute, butI shall stick to IG and Blogging and G+ that's enough for me Ann,xx Rachel
ReplyDeleteYep, that is plenty I know! I just like to try everything lol.
DeleteThat does look like great fun. Show how much I am out of it, I never heard of a vine before now.But it looks like it works pretty well. Have a great evening.
ReplyDeleteHehe well now you know about it Marg!
DeleteTW says she has enough passwords so she’s not joining Instagram or Vine even if she DID have a mobile phone. Love the first 2 videos but the Shiner one isn’t working for me. BTW, when I saw the title, I thought you were referring to Silvervine.
ReplyDeleteAh well, too bad the post wasn't about Silvervine. I'm sure all the kittehs would have loved that!
DeleteYup, Vine's not on our radar either. We figure we have enough too (MOL!) Hope you have tons of fun with it, though!!
ReplyDeleteWell, you guys are on IG and I love love LOVE all of your pictures!
DeleteVery cute Ann!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie!
ReplyDeleteI want to check Vine out! How cool! How do you find time to keep up with everything? I need more hours in the day:)
ReplyDeleteBlogging and being a mom is my occupation! If I had a 9-5 job, I definitely wouldn't be able to do it...
DeleteOur Lady is so old she doesn't know what a Vine is! Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteBOL... it's OK guys. At least she knows now :)
DeleteCool! I should get on Vine. Looks like fun! :0)
ReplyDeleteI have heard of Vine but didn't really know what it was. It looks like you did a great job! Doing more with videos is on my blog "to do" list so I may have to check that out too. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSame here Jan. I don't know if YouTube is cutting it for me though... I like these short videos though!
DeleteOh Ann, I am so glad you tried out Vine! I think it's super fine and I love your short videos. I am also loving reading all the comments..."Our Lady is so old she doesn't know what a Vine is!" LOL. Really it's quite easy!
ReplyDeleteI also love using the Lightt app for videos via the smartphone. With that one you can easily see your own videos (and those of others) on the computer after they are created. Check it out at: https://lightt.com/. It has a LOT more editing features built-in than what the Vine app has.
Hmmm haven't heard of that one, I will check it out sometime. Thanks for the tip!
