That's why we were both very excited to try out the new Milk-Bone® Brushing Chews. Shiner is always willing to taste test new treats and I'm always happy to find new products that can help my dog have a healthier and happier life.
Shiner loves the original Milk-Bone biscuits, so it's no surprise that she really loves their new Brushing Chews. She couldn't wait to get her paws on the box, and there was a lot of drool action going on while she chomped away at her Milk-Bone Brushing Chew.
So what's so special about these chews anyways? Well, lots of things actually. Milk-Bone is changing at-home dental care for dogs with their Milk-Bone Brushing Chews. I think the coolest thing about this product is that the have the Veterinary Oral Health Council's (VOHC) Seal of Acceptance. That's like the American Dental Association (ADA), only for pets. Milk-Bone Brushing Chews are proven to be as effective as brushing your dog's teeth twice weekly when fed on a daily basis, based on the reduction of tartar-buildup and bad breath.
So basically, my dog gets a tasty treat that helps keep her teeth clean and breath smell better. Love it! So does she.
The chews have a unique design to help clean your dog's teeth. Milk-Bone Brushing Chews have a 75 degree twist with nubs and ridges that are designed to clean down to your dog's gum line and the hard to reach back teeth just like a toothbrush does.
Here's what I like best about Milk-Bone Brushing Chews -
- They come in a re-sealable (with velcro) bag.
- They are accredited by the Veterinary Oral Health Council.
- They've been proven to work.
- Milk-Bone Brushing Chews are an easy addition to my dog's regular at home dental care.
- The dog loves them!
- Easy to find since they are available anywhere that carries Milk-Bone brand products.
Shiner gives Milk-Bone Brushing Chews 4 paws up! Since our photo session in the bathroom, she's been following me in there more than usual. It's as though she's asking me "Is it time to brush my teeth now?". If you're looking for a good dental chew for your dog that works, we recommend these.

ReplyDeleteMany thanks to you, Shiner, for a tasty review! I would like to brush my teeth that way. And my dad would like it too, it's better than to miss a finger when we have our toothbrush-wrestling. Have a super friday!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Yes Easy, definitely better than a missing finger :)
DeleteWow, great! I will definitely try them. We do brush Toby's teeth but not every day because he doesn't really like it. I trust you on health related stuff so we will certainly check them out.
ReplyDeleteThat is terrific and if I were a doggy I would sure have clean teeth!
ReplyDeleteMy dogs tried them and LOVED them!
ReplyDeleteYep - Shiner loves them too! They smell pretty tasty, if I were a dog ya know.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the review, Shiner! Tater had a dental (with extractions) when he was rescued at age 3.5...which made us sad for a dog so young....he doesn't seem to have an overly "thrifty" mouth, so we look forward to trying these Milk Bones....as he LOVES treats anyway, so why not make them something that might be good for him too!
ReplyDeleteIt is sad, but it does happen a lot. Seems like a lot of smaller dogs like Tater have dental problems and even early on at that.
DeleteOh! That's the reason why Shiner was in the bathroom :-) Great that MilkBone created dental chews. It is important to care for our dog's teeth. GolDen Woofs
ReplyDeleteYep! Brushing her teeth ;)
