Even if we aren't able to floss our dog's teeth, it's still possible to take good care of their teeth. Last month, Shiner got to try Merrick brand pet food for the first time ever. We are both in love! That's why we said yes to the opportunity to try out some Merrick Flossies from Chewy.com.
The package that came from Chewy.com arrived at our house in just a few short days. The delivery was super fast. Shiner loves getting boxes and was ready to see what was in hers.
The Merrick Flossies have one of the most unique designs I've ever seen in a dog dental treat. To me, they kind of look like a little snake. Flossies' innovative design help fight against tartar and plaque buildup on your dog's teeth. Here are a few key points about these dog dental treats:
- Grain-free
- Gluten-free
- All natural ingredients
- Supports fresh breath
- Made in the USA
What did Shiner think of her Merrick Flossies from Chewy.com? I tried giving her one while she was out in the yard playing and she walked away at first. I'm not sure if she knew it was a treat or if she had more important things to attend to. I tried again in a minute and she chewed it right up!
Shiner generally eats anything I give her as fast as she can so most dental dog treats don't last too long. But I will say that the Flossies lasted for a decent amount of time, providing her with a sufficient amount of chewing.
Thanks to Chewy.com for sending these pawsome treats over to try out. You can find just about anything you need for your dog or cat over at Chewy.com. They have over 300 brands to choose from, in fact. Shipping at Chewy.com is free with orders over $49 and you can even pre-schedule your orders if you want to. That way, you won't run out of food or treats.
We received a bag of Merrick Flossies at no charge in exchange for our honest opinion about the products and services provided by Chewy.com. All opinions expressed here are our own!
Those look like they are great as most dental chews over here don't last long at all. We had greenies for a while but they are no longer available, big sigh. Have a tremendous Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Like Molly, we used Greenies but until those last few pounds are shed we can't. I try to brush Toby's teeth a few times a week, he sort of tolerates it, but flossing is way out of our league.
ReplyDeleteLOL Shiner is a discriminating eater like Freighter. :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely do not floss my dogs teeth!!! BOL!!! Nope!
ReplyDeleteBut these treats look very handy!
thanks for sharing!

We might have to try those Shiner, great review! Love Dolly
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great review Shiner. I hope Mr. Chewy will send this fabulous Flossies over the pond once too :o)
ReplyDeleteGreat review, thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteNoodle
We love Merrick too and were going to try these, but Mom said we had enough treats, so we are getting a toy instead. Good to know how these are.
ReplyDeleteShiner probably also has too many treats...
DeleteThe shape makes them look like it would be a fun treat as well. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check those out.
ReplyDeleteOkay... I admit that I used to floss our beagle's teeth. But it was only because she was insane, and she loved it when the hubs or I were flossing and would come over to us, so we'd floss her a bit too. She seemed to enjoy it. Haven't tried it on Rita!
That is awesome! I'm sure there are people out there who are able to do it which is great. I just don't think it's something MOST dog parents do or are able to do.
DeleteThe boys love dental sticks and chews. We will have to take a hint from Shiner and give these a try!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very impressive chew n' clean yummy!
