For the Fourth of July, we spent most of the day at Lake Travis in Texas. My family has a house on the lake and my brother lives in the neighborhood too. This week's 52 Snapshots of Life theme is Partiotic, so I'm sharing some photos from yesterday.
This is my photo for this week's photo challenge theme. My dad's truck with the American flag shown on the back. The truck is a very old army truck. I don't know much of the details about it except that is big, it's an army truck, it's old, and it's a Dodge.
Shiner did not visit the lake with us because there were going to be lots of fireworks and I would have no real safe place to keep her while the fireworks were going off. But, I did get to spend some time with this cutie patootie named Farrah.
Farrah thought that the inflatable jet ski was out to get everyone. So she drug it to shore and showed it what she thought.
And finally, the day ended with a display of fireworks. If the fireworks look close, it's because they are. The show is put on by neighbors who live in Graveyard Point on Lake Travis. They know how to put on a pretty good fireworks show.
Now, I'm worn out and will probably spend my Sunday resting. We hope everyone has had a fun weekend so far!
I love your Patriotic photo...that is a cool old truck. Sounds like you had a nice time at the lake, and what a great fireworks show!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun time! Except for the fireworks. We don't like the loud boomers! ;)
ReplyDeleteAw poor kitties! I guess we are kind of used to them, because they go off every Friday night next door.
DeleteWe like that truck too! Have an very Easy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteHow lucky to have a house by the lake! Dakota was going nuts because we had fireworks that we could see from our balcony. While they are fun to watch, the poor boy was losing his mind!
ReplyDeleteAw poor Dakota! I bet he is glad that they are over with now!
DeleteThat old military truck looks like a nice match for the jeep I had on my post yesterday for the 4th. Being on the water is always a fun time on a holiday.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics Ann! I love your dad's truck. Too awesome!
