The hardest part for me was deciding to replace my other beautiful banner, which I still love. But, change is nice sometimes so why not. Let me know what you think, everyone!
We had a nice winter break, and I decided to take a mini vacation while my oldest daughter was out of school. I'll be back to blogging regularly very soon!
I received a new coffee mug that is sure to keep me going. ;) (I think this is my favorite gift that I got for Christmas!)
And to our friends, I haven't forgotten about anyone. Just needed to step offline just a tiny bit for a little while. See you soon!

ReplyDeleteI love your new look! Change is always good I think, and I love the simplicity of this. I'm glad you've been able to enjoy a little time off with your family. I've been a little quieter over the holidays too, and am just now starting to get back into the swing of things.
ReplyDeleteHey, Ann! Glad you're taking some time offline; it's refreshing to see a blogger do that nw and again. :) This is a really pretty design, and you are brave for making such a change. I'll offer just one thing, though: do you think there's room (maybe work it into the header as part of your blog name - like word art - that complements the dots) to bring the pawprints back? To match your blog name? I see your avatar is still a blue pawprint, but other than your blog name/tagline and photos, there's nothing that tells me this is a pet blog (vs. a stationery, craft or party planning blog, for example). Just wouldn't want to see you lose any potential regulars because they needed more than 30 seconds - which they didn't have - to determine you have a crap load of pet content here. (You don't need to reply to this comment, either, just something to think about.)

ReplyDeleteI was reading a few of the comments and glad to see that what I was thinking was stated by a few people. While I love the look, there is nothing at all that would lead me to think this was a pet blog (other than the title)....I am against the "paws" idea because it is so over-used......I would just like to see some sort of logo/illustration that features all of the animals that YOU feature on your blog. Cats, dogs, rats, etc.........just a thought. Otherwise it looks great! catchatwithcarenandcody
