Making Feathered Friends

Yesterday, we visited Old Settlers Park. It's a nice park near our home complete with playgrounds, a lake, a swimming pool waterpark, and the Dell Diamond baseball fields where the Round Rock Express minor league team plays.

However, we just came to make some new friends at the lake. Ducks!

I don't know what kind of duck this is, but he was a pretty nice guy.

There are a lot of ducks near the lake at the park and none of them are particularly scared by people.

  2. The top duck is a muscovy duck. I'm glad you found it to be friendly. A few summers ago I was attacked by a muscovy duck....until then didn't know ducks COULD attack!

Looks like a beautiful day and what a nice park.

    1. We had a chicken once too! He was a rooster though and turned kind of violent later on. We had to take him to live with our vet's goat.
