Amazing Video: Cat Has Two Faces
I came across this video the other day and was intrigued, so I clicked the play button. Next I was amazed by the cat (cats?) in the video. I have never seen or heard of a cat with two faces before. Apparently, they are called "Janus" cats, named after a Roman god that had two faces. Most die as kittens, but this one is recognized as the oldest Janus cat to ever live by the Guiness Book of World Records. That in itself is pretty amazing. His name is Frank and Louie. I realize the video is a little over a year old, so that would make Frank and Louie 13 years old now.

Miss Ann!! Miss Ann!! Go visit our blog!
ReplyDeleteLol - I think I was visiting you while you were visiting me ;)
DeleteI've heard of this condition before, but I didn't know about Frank and Louie! That's incredible that they are 12/13!! He looks like he's a completely normal acting kitty, which is awesome and proof that "abnormal" animals can live long and healthy lives!! :-D
ReplyDeleteI know! That's exactly why I think it's so amazing.
DeleteAwwww, I have seen this be before, or one similar..He seems a happy Kittie, He would be better at spotting the birds than Alfie :) xx00xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
OMG how strange. We hope kitty is happy and content and we sure he is.
ReplyDeleteHave a marvelous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
He seems pretty content in the video. Definitely strange.

ReplyDeleteOMD. I have never heard of such a thing. *whispers* Miss Ann, there is a limerick on my blog today for you!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh dear dawg...I'm so sorry I was confused. I fixed it, Miss Ann and I do apologize for not realizing who was a girl and who was a boy. BOL
DeleteThat is beyond fascinating. What a wonderful woman - I like her for her comment that she would have taken any kitten even if it weren't so unique!
ReplyDeletePiggy kisses,
Katie and Coccolino the mini pig
Lucky kitty to be rescued into such a fun-filled house.
ReplyDeleteThat's incredible. We have never seen or heard of a kitty like this. We thought it might be a hoax, but we can't see how it would be. We wish Frank and Louie a long life. Can't believe somebody wanted to euthanize him just because he is unique. Purrs and hugs from the kitties at www.thecatonmyhead.com, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
ReplyDeleteWell supposedly they usually die within the first days of their life. But he is very fortunate someone took him in and gave him a chance.
DeleteI've never seen such a kitty before. I'm so glad she has a wonderful furever home ;o)
