Walking the neighborhood and playing in the back yard.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite summer activity with our Jack Russell is watching her jump through the sprinklers with my grandsons in the backyard!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very cool giveaway!
ReplyDeleteEnjoying sun puddle with my babies! :) I also like walking my neighbor's dog with him.
ReplyDeleteWe love to go swimming together. Thank You for the very generous giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHiking!!! Getting out in nature with the dogs! Nothing like it!
ReplyDeleteI Cut my long hair girl's hair myself, this year with a dull pair of slightly round tip scissors - that's fun...they are funny one minute allowing me and the next chiding me with a snarl.FYI you scoundrel bloggers. If they want to take away my first born cat for non-payment I can't afford to take your prize - just a comment on the legal waiver that went with my last prize win.
ReplyDeleteHi Pamela, unfortunately I don't know exactly what you're talking about but feel free to email me if you have a specific concern. Thanks!
DeleteI won a GC, at one time apparently me Vet was AAHA, but is not now. I called two AAHA places to see if they sold food over the counter. I'm in a bind we need food. They both told me I could use a GC or $ in an account to buy food. I went to open and account, when they found out What organization the GC was from they changed their story. Apparently the AAHA controls their practices, that sounds like only if it is tied to a gift card, but in the years of investigating this stuff in the end all groups, individuals and agencies needing approval or to be accredited will give up the lives, safety and security of an individual or animal to get what they need. They would not sell me the food, which one Vet's office said they sold over the counter without a prescription without an Exam. My Vet is 2nd gen, I trust he can spot a potential FLUTD cat and CD would not hurt them if he couldn't. Both AAHA Vets had onerous waivers...or genrally legally ambiguous waiver. That is all she wrote, I would not even let an MD operate on me with a waiver like that unless I knew the Vet very well. That is one the issues I want to cover at my alphacat.us. Long story short, I gave back the GC....rather than give up my Cat's rights and my rights. Freedom has a pirce.
DeleteHmm I used to work for an AAHA clinic and they really don't control anything. You just follow their standards, maybe they'll stop by and check you out to make sure you're doing stuff in the clinic like they recommend and that's it. That usually means stuff like the way you care for the animals, clean, disinfect, etc. Actually, CD IS a prescription food. Sounds like someone at that clinic gave you some misinformation and then when you got there realized the mistake. Still confused about the whole story but that sucks that you weren't able to use your card =/
DeleteThat's interesting. I meant to say that I found it a smart marketing move that you all chipped in for the card, I followed everyone and was followed back by a few. They can unfollow when they find out I connect most of my writing about animals to human rights, that's polotical. I think this should be a very positive event for all of you. As for the AAHA, as I told the newly Legal Molly, from a legal perspective, I'm factually aware there is plenty of politics and control being exercised there, as well as some defamation.
DeleteWell thanks. I hope it's successful and that we're able to help someone out! What is your Facebook page name so I can see if I am following it. I follow so many it gets hard to keep track of it these days =/
DeleteI'm anti facebook, Harvard I have no regard for what goes into or comes out of that school of exploitation. So, I try to fill my free space there with Urgent Kitties who need out now! ReplyDeleteWe like taking walks through the trails at the park or out behind the house.
ReplyDeleteWe like to go for walks with our dog! But since she is a Pug, she's a little more prone to heat-related breathing and overheating issues, so we do our walks early, or after the sun has set. :)

My cats like to spend time out in our sunroom in the warmer months and I like to play with them there. They are indoor cats so I don't let them really go outside - it's really not safe for cats to just roam around free.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than pampering your pets with gobs of goodies from Petsmart! Thank you for this opportunity!
ReplyDeletepity I can't enter this for my dad he's feeding the local stray and feral cats and TNR them too the gift card would have come in handy for him as he lives in Philadelphia,xx Rachel
ReplyDeleteI don't see why you can't Rachel. I'll email you.
DeleteThis is my first summer with Tyson. I'm hoping he will start to like kiddie pools. He's not too thrilled about water yet.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy dog loves to go to the beach. So, we'll be going to the beach a lot this summer.
ReplyDeleteMy dog usually like to swim more than anything. But I learned a couple of weeks ago that she's terrified of the ocean. A giant dog freaking out when the water touched her feet. She had the whole beach laughing!

Going for walks!
ReplyDeleteLove just sitting in the yard together, enjoying the warmth.
ReplyDeletewe love to go to our local dog park
ReplyDeleteNice give away.
ReplyDeletetaking her to the dog park is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteWe recently adopted a german shepherd/black lab mix puppy. Needless to say he has a lot of energy. Although we have a large back yard and I love throwing toys for him, our favorite activity is going on walks....well, runs. And, because I'm not an olympic sprinter, I have to ride my bike to keep up with him! When we get back on hot days, I will try to get him to get into the kitty pool we set up for him in the back yard (we're still working on it). He always seems so much happier after he can run full speed!
ReplyDeleteWe like sitting on the creek bank when we're here at home. It feels like the temperature drops by at least 15° there. We really wish sometimes that we could break the Giardia-is-probably-there-thanks-to-the-wildlife-rule and get in it. The creek is one of the few places we have here that has trees left.Outside of finding a tree to sit under and feel the breeze, our favorite thing to do is go RVing--to some place that has a lot of trees of course.
ReplyDeleteI wish there were more trees where we went today. Had a trip out to the lake and since most of the bank SHOULD be underwater, there are no trees! But your creek sounds wonderful :) I've always loved exploring little creeks and ponds.
DeleteI love to take her on walks through the parks. She's not big on actual playing. She's older and likes to just be near me so we sit out back together enjoying the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteOur favorite summer activity is probably going out hiking when we can, or going to our favorite local spot for ice cream for humans and canines!
ReplyDeleteZoe would love to win this :) $400 can cover her high maintenance lifestyle for the summer.
ReplyDeletecrossing finger!
ReplyDeletePlaying fetch with my lab, Skeeter. It's my puppy, Thor's, first summer. Big bear hugs and pool fun with my pitty, Vaeh. And chilling in the shade with my old timer, Demmi.
ReplyDeleteI love to take walks with my dog.
ReplyDeleteMy cats would love to go outside during the summer months, but I don't them go outside. I do walk my dogs. It's so hot here down in the deep south that my cats and I like to stay inside and cuddle or play.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway Ann!! When it's not too hot, Mommy and I love going to festivals, playing outside, gardening, and taking evening walks together.
ReplyDeleteI like to take Sookie for walks around the neighborhood and playing with her outside.
ReplyDeleteWe like going for walks.
ReplyDeleteLiving in the Deep South with ten rescue dogs (seven mutts and three Bulldogs), we have to be careful about outside time, especially with the Bullies. The bullies basically only go outside to potty whereas the mutts get to play outside early in the morning, for a little while in the afternoon, and the evening, with quick potty breaks in between. They all love hanging around in the AC. Lumpy, my first rescued Bulldog, likes to get on our bed and get under a blanket I made! Silly boy! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteGoing for a walk on the river trail.
ReplyDeleteSince I have (scaredy) cats, our summer activities are the same as our activities during all the other seasons: we stay inside.
ReplyDeleteMy dog and I do a lot of hiking together.
