Pawsitively Pets Best of 2014

The year 2014 has been a fun one in the world of pet blogging. Pawsitively Pets has grown this year once again. We had happy moments and sad ones too. Our friend Nibblet passed away in the Spring, as well as my mother just a few weeks ago. But, we gained a few new friends in the fall - Jack and Gus. And of course, good ol' Shiner is still around too.

Today, we're sharing the highlights of our year - the best of Pawsitively Pets in 2014. Let's take a look!

Most Visited Blog Posts Written in 2014

  1. Do Over the Counter Dewormers for Pets Really Work? - This post is our most visited blog post of 2014. Shiner had tapeworms earlier this year and I tried something from the grocery store for her.
  2. Why Is Your Dog or Cat Dragging Their Butt on the Floor? - Hey - it's a kind of funny title but this happens all the time! Now you can finally discover the mystery of why your pet does this.
  3. Holiday PetBox Review - Our November PetBox must have been a pretty popular one.
  4. Pet Tongues | Letting It All Hang Out - This post explains why some pets have tongues that are always hanging out.
  5. Should You Give Your Dog a Probiotic Supplement? - This one explains the benefits of probiotics for dogs as well as reviews a probiotic supplement we tried in early 2014.

Favorite Instagram Photos of 2014

A week or so ago, we had a cool video created that shows our most favorited photos on Instagram. Check it out!

Most Viewed YouTube Video of 2014

While our YouTube channel is a work in progress, we do like sharing a video occasionally. Our most viewed video that we uploaded in 2014 was "Tips to make your dog eat slower" at 340 views. It's a short video just over 30 seconds long.

Favorite Photos of 2014

And now for a few of my personal favorites. Last year, I got a new fancy camera to take photos for Pawsitively Pets. There are so many pictures I could put in this section but I'll just add 3 of my favorites.

"Best Friends"

I like this photo of my daughter and Jack mostly because of the moment when I captured it. So, I guess in that case it has more sentimental value to me. I had set Jack down on the couch for a moment and then Violet got under the blankets with him. Jack wasn't trying to run away and was just laying next to her. Super cute!

"Blue Skies"

This photo of Shiner was taken in the Summer. I tried a different angle by getting underneath her. It was a really nice day outside with a bright blue cloudless sky.

"Skeleton Dog"

I am extremely proud that I was able to capture such a nice pose with Shiner. I remember that she was being a little difficult that day during our session and this picture just downright makes me proud!

Happy New Year 2015!

With the start of a New Year, we'll be trying some new things here at Pawsitively Pets including a new feature. Starting next week, we'll be featuring a special "Pawsome Pet of the Week". We already have a few Pawsome Pets lined up to feature and can't wait to get started. Happy New Year!
