6 Reasons Why We Love Molly Mutt Dog Beds

This post is sponsored by Molly Mutt. Pawsitively Pets only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers.

Dog beds. My dog has one, but she never actually sleeps on it. This makes me question the idea of purchasing large and expensive dog beds for her. I'm just not sure if it's worth it. Her favorite place to sleep is on laundry piles, clean or dirty. I've even caught her curled up in laundry baskets before, which is quite amusing since she's not all that small.

I've heard of Molly Mutt dog beds before, but had not tried one until this month. What are Molly Mutt dog beds? Basically, Molly Mutt creates beautifully designed duvets that you fill with your stuff.

Molly, the co-founder of Molly Mutt, lived in a small San Francisco apartment. When her dogs' beds got dirty, she'd have to cart them up and down the hills in her neighborhood to the laundromat. Molly found this task tiresome and created Molly Mutt dog bed duvets.

I had some bags of old clothes in my closet, so that's what I've filled our Molly Mutt dog bed with. You could also add pillows, towels, blankets... re-use anything that's soft and comfy. I thought this was a brilliant idea considering Shiner loves to sleep on my clothes.

I'm in love with the designs and idea of Molly Mutt dog beds! Here are 6 reasons why:

1. Durable - One of the first things I noticed about my Molly Mutt dog bed duvet was that the material seemed quite durable. The duvets are made from 100% cotton canvas, pre-shrunk, and come with a zippered opening.

2. Easy to Clean - One of the hassles of having a conventional dog bed is having to clean it. Our Molly Mutt dog bed duvet is machine washable (and not too huge for a washing machine). All the clothes I used to stuff it with are washable too.

3. Sustainable - Those bags of clothes sitting in my closet? I'm glad they are finally being put to good use. These dog beds save waste, keeping your stuff out of land-fills and putting them to a practical use.

4. Comforting - Dogs like having their own comfortable place to sleep and relax. Molly Mutt dog beds are comforting to dogs because they smell like their owner.

5. Affordable - The duvets are extremely affordable and not nearly as expensive as a conventional dog bed that may or may not be destroyed eventually anyways. If you're weary of purchasing a dog bed, I encourage you to explore Molly Mutt as an alternative.

6. Beautiful Designs - With over 25 designs available, Molly Mutt offers something to match any home. Our duvet is the "Time After Time" design.

And what does Shiner think of her new Molly Mutt dog bed? I think she likes it. It's floral and "girly" just like her and is filled with her favorite thing to sleep on - clothes! The bed is large and provides her with plenty of room to curl up and take a nap.

  22. My dogs and cat love our Molly Mutt Bed. They are allowed on the furniture, but 3 of them consistently pick this bed as their favorite spot. They try to out manipulate each other for the best spot. Sophie prefers the wood floor, even though there are other beds available.

  25. Such a fun idea! I think I'll go with the "I Don't Like Mondays" duvet cover, because I genuinely think my dog, Scarlett, likes Mondays because she knows that's when I have to go back to work and we can't spend as much time together!

I think I'll use this cover over her kennel liner mat so that it can be removed easily to be washed!

Thanks for sharing! I had never heard of Molly Mutt before! Cheers!
