Get Your Home Ready for the Holidays {Printable Cleaning Checklist}

This post is sponsored by Spot Shot® Instant Carpet Stain Remover and Spot Shot® Pet Instant Carpet Stain & Odor Eliminator. Pawsitively Pets only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers.

The holidays are upon us with Christmas and New Year's just around the corner. I've been cleaning my house intensely these past few days, but every time I think I'm finished I find something else that needs to be cleaned. Cleaning your home is probably one of the largest tasks in preparing for Holiday guests.

My two biggest helpers during my cleaning efforts have been the cats (except not really) and Spot Shot®  Pet Instant Carpet Stain & Odor Eliminator. Kitten Roadside isn't the best helper, but he has a fun time getting involved and he's cute so it's OK.

If you don't want to miss anything while getting your home ready for the holidays, make a list and check it twice! Or you can peruse this handy printable holiday cleaning checklist that I created to make life easier. Print directly from this blog post or download a printable PDF version here. You're welcome!

More Tips to Make Holiday Cleaning Easier

  • Remember that most of these tasks take a considerable amount of time and effort to complete. Make sure you prepare in advance! Don't try to do everything in one day.
  • Get help! Do you have children? Get them to help by assigning them a few age appropriate cleaning tasks. Spouses can help too! You could even hire a cleaning service.
  • Have your cleaning supplies ready to go. Take a trip to the store and pick up any needed cleaning supplies. I always keep Spot Shot Pet Instant Carpet Stain & Odor Eliminator on hand for carpet messes. My dog has more potty accidents on the carpet now that she's older and this product is a lifesaver for that.
  • Be prepared for more cleaning after the party. Food and drink messes on the floors and carpets are almost inevitable if you're have guests over. Spot Shot® Instant Carpet Stain Remover is your BFF for tough stains. It eliminates carpet stains and anti-resoiling agents protect your carpet to keep stains from returning in the future.
If you are wondering if Spot Shot Pet is safe to use around your pets or kids, the answer is yes! Spot Shot Pet is safe for pets, kids, and the environment when used as directed. It's non-toxic, contains no phosphates, has recyclable packaging, and is not tested on animals.
